By James Zeleniak, Philadelphia Editor

Ever since the death of Franklin, Philly has suffered from a dearth of celebrity wattage. (We did have Mike Douglas--the original Oprah--back in the 70s, but that’s a faded memory.) Now, with a couple of films in the works, Philly is seeing more of those million dollar faces. Wanna spot one? Here's where to look.

Philly’s Celebrity Scene

  1. Rouge

    205 S 18th St, Philadelphia, PA
Star sightings are as de rigeur as it gets around here, with everyone from Lauren Hutton to Demi Moore hanging in a street scene tableau funky bunch.

  2. The Continental

    134 Market St, Philadelphia, PA
Must be in a Star’s Guide to Philadelphia handbook, because for some reason this Old City hang attracts celebs like moths to flames. Recently Ashton Kutcher took Demi’s kid here.

  3. G

    117 S 17th St, Philadelphia, PA
Owen Wilson was spotted here, fresh in town shooting Marley & Me.

  4. Pearl

    1904 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA
Wilson was also seen hanging at this up-market Rittenhouse newbie.

  5. Barnes & Noble

    1805 Walnut St., Philadelphia, PA
It made the papers when Parker Posey bought a book at this Rittenhouse shop recently.

  6. Rittenhouse Square

    1800 Walnut St, Philadelphia, PA
Stars stroll threw the Center City park and pretend they’re just like everyone else

  7. El Vez

    121 S 13th St, Philadelphia, PA
Jennifer Aniston, in town starring with Wilson in Marley & Me, supped at this glam Center City Mexican spot, while intimidating bodyguards kept shutterbugs at bay.

  8. Tria

    123 S 18th St, Philadelphia, PA
Just ask Demi and Posey about the happy hour here--the two are practically regulars.

Where the Stars Stay

  1. The Rittenhouse Hotel

210 W Rittenhouse Sq, Philadelphia, PA
Prince Albert once dedicated a scull boat at the bar here, and its where everyone from diplomats to movie stars stay when in town — including Kathleen Turner, Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks, Courtney Love, Oprah Winfrey, Aretha Franklin. Kevin Bacon stays here too, but grew up less than a block away.

  2. Four Seasons Hotel, Philadelphia

    1 Logan Sq, Philadelphia, PA
This is wear the Stones prefer to stay when they’re in Philly.
