Our family has used M & H Transmission for over 12 years. We have watched them raise there son Eric to become a certified mechanic with them, and we have met there daughter, too. We get all our car repair, car inspection, service work, tires, and exhaust systems done at M&H. Today we took our car in and asked Marshall, the owner/operator to fix a muffler leak. I usually fix the easy stuff myself, but I had crawled under the car and seen a break in the original-equipment pipe next to the old catalytic, and heard more noise coming from near the engine block. I am too old to do that kind of work any more so I was bracing myself for a complete exhaust system and accompanying bill -- manifold, two or three pipes, bunch of clamps, a catalytic, plus hours of labor on the old 1999 Sable. We dropped the car off for a Saturday morning appointment. Marshall called about two hours later and told me, "Your car's ready. We had to make three welds and it's all fixed." When we got there we paid our $47.50 bill and thanked him for his good, fast service, as usual. Moreover, Marshall had also noticed and written up an estimate for some problems that would need to be fixed before inspection and I told him that I had been expecting that that kind of work would be needed soon so we scheduled those repairs. It's nice to work directly with an owner of a locally owned business here in the Phoenixville area. My wife and I can't compliment Marshall, Sandy, Eric, John and the others enough. They have been dependable, courteous and steadfast business people in our community for a long time. We will take our auto repair, auto inspection, service work -- especially muffler jobs -- to them for a long time. -B
Pros: Family owned and operated, in service many years, big place, lots of bays, always deliver as they promise and often faster, clearly review estimates and problems found.
Cons: Though M&H is sprucing up its part of this old structure, the landlord does not keep up the adjacent parts of this old structure, right and left of M&H.

the people are friendly and know what they're doing. they fixed several issues with my car and my families car in a quick, but more importantly, effective manner. would definitely recommend using M&H.
Pros: family owned, very friendly, knowledgable

When my car was mysteriously stalling last summer, I took it to M&H. It took several days to diagnose the problem, yet I was contacted each day, updated about where they were with diagnosis and re-assured I'd get the car back ASAP. The problem turned out to be a bad internal computer, yet M&H found a replacement part (used), installed it, had the keys reprogrammed (at a dealer) and charged me less than half the price I had been quoted at my "trustworthy" dealer. The mechanics certainly fixed the problem, I have not had any other problems since, and I was very pleased with the polite, friendly service I received. I'd definitely reccommend these mechanics to anyone.

After paying outrageous prices at a dealership, I was pleasantly surprised to get such excellent service at such a reasonable price. Not only was everyone at the shop friendly, my car was in and out in a flash. Will definitely go back and would recommend the great service of M&H to all of my friends.

I really can't say enough good things about M&H. They are absolutely the most professional and friendly repair shop I've ever worked with. They're incredibly accomodating and worked with my busy schedule to help me get my repairs done without having to miss work. They were great at explaining exactly what was wrong with my vehicle in a language even I could understand! My cars have all been running great since I started taking them there. I would highly recommend them to any of my friends.
Pros: friendly service, great price, fast repairs
Cons: none
