great for normal ever day repairs and maintenance,didnt like when they said they could do upgrades on my sports car,lets just say it wasnt a good idea.overall there pretty good and very freindly.
Pros: good repair mechanics,great customer service
Cons: no good on high performance vehicles

i have gone to them a few times and have had repeated problems. my check engine light is on and when i took it to them, it turned off for a few hours and was back on. this happened on a few occasions. they put the wrong spark plugs in my car, they over filled my oil and caused more problems. just not satisfied with them.
Pros: cheap, convinient
Cons: didnt fix problems.

It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust so I am so glad my friend's introduced me to Schafer's. You can always trust they will fix only what's necessary, fix it well, and charge you a good price! They understand that we don't all have endless cash to put into our car repairs and do not try to milk you for all of your money. I've even experienced going in there thinking I needed certain things done and them telling me - no you can wait 6 months on this or that. I've moved out of Philly to Jersey but still drive in whenever I need a repair. I made the mistake one time of going somewhere else near my house and it was a disaster- hundreds of dollars spent - and no improvement in the car-- I will not make that mistake again! They are a real gem!

Schafers saved me from a horrible mechanic. They fixed my car did not do anymore than needed. The price was below what I was quoted at other places. They were very friendly! I took my car here after a bad experience with a sneaky mechanic. Schafers found the problem and helped me get the money back from the other mechanic. I have friends that have used them for years and always good service.
