Laugh Out Loud
by fromjrzytodware
The Laff House is cool if you just want to get your laugh on. But as far as drinks and food are concerned you will wait a while to receive either. There are only like 3 waitresses for about 25 tables so it takes a while to be served.
Serving up laughs five nights a week.

The Deal
Sure, you can pay for jokes from panhandlers on South Street, but the only proper comedy club on the strip is the Laff House. Doing its best to move away from the stale, rote '80s comedy club experience still espoused by typical suburban-motel-based clubs, the Laff House has a brash hip-hop vibe that's nonetheless all-inclusive. The spacious, dark room has small tables, so visitors aren't stuck sitting with total strangers. Yes, there's the dreaded brick wall, but it's next to the stage, minimizing its impact. The menu is small and cheap: various wrap sandwiches for $5-7, along with chicken tenders, wings, and fries.
The Deal
The Laff House features a good mix of local and national talent. Wednesdays are open mic nights, with signup at 7:30pm. Generally, admission prices are between $12.50 and $15 on Fridays and Saturdays, but certain national headliners and special engagements might cost more, so call ahead for details.
OVERALL GOOD

Overall, a good experience. A decent alternative to your typical date. The crowd was a little thin, even for the late show. One of the comics was terrible, but the other two were funny. I would go back if a big name ever swung through Philly.
