Kept me waiting 20 minutes while she read emails and ate chinese food on my time
by csg2028
I had the most unprofessional experience with the owner today. Last week I booked my appointment for 2pm this afternoon. I got a call yesturday confirming my 2pm appointment for a facial and other potential treatments. I arrived on time, 2pm sharp, for my appointment with Lydia. When I arrived she was reading email and asked me to wait a moment, which was fine. She then went next door to TASTE KING and picked up lunch. I offered to come back later and go do a few errands in the area. Lydia said it was not necessary she would be only a moment. I sat there for 12 more minutes and finally went to see what she was doing.............you guessed it............eating her lunch!!! Keeping me waiting for almost 20 minutes while she read emails and ate chinese food on my time. This appointment was pre-scheduled and potentially about $150.00. In this economy with so many spas in the area how does anyone act so rude and disrespectful? I told the receptionist to cancel my appointment and will never ever return there again!!!!
A fine and professional day spa!
by Martina12259
This is what a day spa should be.
The services were all quite fine and the owner was so friendly and explained everything to my family!
I feel that this is a place we will return to many times in the future.
I bought several gift cards for my family here and at other spas and really had a terrible reaction from my sister to another spa.
This is the place.
- Pros: very nice place
UltraBeauty Day Spa Review

UltraBeauty Day Spa & Salon opened its doors to the public in 1985 as a small neighborhood day spa. At that time, the space was 1000 sq. feet and services included tanning, full service nails and pedicures, massages, waxing and later, body wrapping. In 2001 UltraBeauty expanded to become a full service Salon and Day Spa with 4000 sq. feet of space. The facility now has 16 treatment rooms and a wide variety of spa services including facials, massages, body scrubs under a Vichy Shower, sauna, steam room, dining room and separate men and women's locker rooms. The full service salon offers additional services including hair, nails, pedicures, waxing and makeup.
In the spirit of expansion, UltraBeauty has brought recognition from the public and several national awards: 4 times Gold Symbol of Excellence Award, winner of the 2007-2008 People Paper Awards for Best Spa, as well as Dermalogica Circle; Members dedicated to award skin care excellence.
The goal of the UltraBeauty spa and salon team is to do their best in providing top of the line services for their customers and to educate them on their continuing health and well-being at home. A large retail area provides a variety of the best lines of hair, skin and body products. - Pros: Free Parking, Easy to get to, warm staff
fine services and very good prices
by gstamp999
This is the best in the area we think.
The staff is highly trained and the prices are very good.
I think that for a spa this is the right place for you to go.
I know my english not so good, but try this place for youself.
- Pros: good prices and good staff
Very nice and relaxing
by GILBERTA44
Good staff and the services are quite good.
I would recommend this spa.
I feel that the quality of the staff as well as the good front desk service is what we really are looking for in a Day Spa.
Poor service, noisy and unhealthy looking place. As a low-end hair salon this place is ok.

I had very bad experience with Ultrabeauty European Day Spa.
I felt that the customer service in this spa is extremely poor, personnel are not trained at all and very pushy, unfortunately the spa was not clean either and the most annoying thing is a cigarette smoke smell.
As a low-end hair salon this place is ok.
If you are looking for luxury, peace, comfort you will not find it here.
This is very noisy and unhealthy looking place.
I would not recommend this place at all. It left a very, very bad impression
- Cons: not clean, noisy, cigarette smoke smell, poor service & rude personnel
Unprofessional and pushy!

I had been going to this spa for 3 yrs. and received numerous facials, manicures, pedicures, etc. I had mixed experiences with this place, some good, some bad. On the positive side, I did enjoy manicures and pedicures here but you have to be careful who you get b/c one of the ladies hurt my cuticles. I also received a divine massage! Now for the not so great experiences. I had a facial with Fannie who used to smoke a cigarette then put her smelly hands on my face and talk to me the entire time! Another facialist burned my face with that machine used to reduce bacteria on the skin. Lastly, a third facialist named Lucy gave a wondeful facial with great extractions and then proceeded to bring $200 worth of products into the room for me to buy. I sat up and she said, "OK here are the products you will purchase today". She also told me she expected me to buy these products b/c she spent a lot of time with me and gave me an extra service. I am no spa amateur and I can tell you there was nothing extra! As for spending time with me, isn't that what a good facialist should do!?!? Needless to say I left without purchasing and never went back.
- Pros: manicures, pedicures, massage
- Cons: pressure to buy, unprofessional staff
GREAT Massage
by traveler43
Wasn't sure about this place because it had mixed reviews. I took a friend last minute and it was the only place we could get two appointments at. We arrived early, and the receptionist recommended that we add-on a steam and hydrotherapy bath. The hydrotherapy bath (an oversized jauzzi-type tub) is in a private room, lit with candles and laden with rose petals. My friend found it very relaxing. I did the steam room. It was absolutely perfect. Again, a private treatment, so I had the place to myself. Steam was just the right volume. The attendant let us know when we should head to the waiting room for our massages, and made sure that we had plenty of water. Our massage therapists were possibly the best we have experienced. I have had massages in Europe, on cruise ships, and at some of the top US resorts. The massage I received here was definitely world-class. Both of our therapists used their hands--not just their elbows like you get at some places. My therapist was concerned about some knots in my back and used hot stones on them at no extra charge. The price for the massage and steam add-ons was unbelievably reasonable.
The ambience is not the Four Seasons, but it is clean, lots of candles, and nice. The locker room is a little small and only has one shower, so you should plan this.
I highly recommend Ultrabeauty if you are looking for a GREAT massage.
- Pros: Excellent massage, good steam room
- Cons: small locker room
Hands down...the worst experience!

This place is a poor excuse for a spa....please do not go here for any type of waxing!!! This place is dirty, has very poor customer service, and is a complete rip off!!! When I asked as to how long this place has been in business- the cashier told me for several years- I couldn't help but think....HOW!!!!
