Borderline Racism

by HIM54

I read all reviews about this store prior to going to it and was very excited to go because I like these kinds of stores. I went in and I was greated with kindness then all downhill from there I was asked if I needed help then I was followed around by a sales associates as if I was a f@#king criminal I went downstairs and I was not bothered but on the main level I felt harrassed then I went upstairs and I was followed after telling the sales associate I needed no help he and his coworker followed my wife and I around and I just grabbed what I was there for and went back downstairs to pay and leave immediately the woman behind the counter looked at me like as if I couldn't buy anything from the store. Then they had the nerve to stare at us then ask my wife if we were together. I don't know what was their deal but I will never go back or tell anyone to visit this store actually if you are black beware they will follow you and make your experience horrible. I hope the owners of the store reads this so they know what kind of employees they have working for them.

Vintage military - so awesome!

by lilkel8267

When you walk in, there are the normal t-shirts with clever sayings and tube socks and whatnot (pick up some wife-beaters while you're there; they really do go with everything). However, it's the basement that's the treasure trove here! From vintage military casks and bags to coats and miscellaneous other clothing items, the basement is a great place to find a jacket or accessory that is super cool and guaranteed not to be seen on anyone else.

  • Pros: Real vintage items with real modern style - and what bargains!

Since 1919, this army-navy and outdoor store has endured with rugged charm and durability.

by Contributor

In Short
Worn gas masks, iron-on flag patches, French Navy wool coats--all seem that they've been around since the grand reopening. Still, it's mostly casual classics that outdoorsy Americans have come to depend on, with a smattering of stuff that's survival chic. There are 501s and cowboy-cut Wranglers, Wigwam socks and Sebago Docksiders, Dickies pants and Fruit of the Loom, North Face backpacks and portable stoves. But don't overlook bright orange hunting vests, blue camouflage T-shirts, mesh tank tops, Italian shoulder bags, pom-pom ski caps, and ever-durable olive-green cargo pants.

Quality at low prices

by eldondre

why pay more than $8 for a double layere and lined wool hat? Excellent selection of hoodies, t-shirts, winterwear, and surplus gear at good prices. Much neede in center city.
