Best Of the Dive Bars!
by aguido
Great Local place! Not the place to go if you are entertaining family but if you want to watch a Phils game with good salt-o-the-earth locals...Paddy's is where to be!
- Pros: Nice Waitstaff-Good Beer
- Cons: A Tad Dirty
great oasis in Olde City
by Kcphila
Olde City can be pretty awful on weekends- bros and jersey girls out in their tacky finery, driving their SUVs drunkenly around tiny streets.
Paddy's is a cool little hang over from the areas industrial past. You can get a reasonably priced pint, have a smoke and chat a little.
I don't come here often as a destination, but I'll frequently pop in to get some relief from the rest of Olde City if I'm doing something there. It's a great place to go to after plays or dinner.
- Pros: gets you out of the Olde City atmosphere
- Cons: pretty much a dive
Go elsewhere of you're looking for style--this is a place for no-frills drinking.

In Short
It's a bar where patrons come to drink, have fun and get rowdy. A few booths run along the side of the room. On the walls, are the occasional shamrock, flags and photos of Irish pubs and landmarks. The wood of the bar top is worn raw from years of pints, shot glasses and ashtrays being slid across its surface. Rarely crowded, yet always rowdy, the customer base seems to consist entirely of regulars.
