I am from Memphis TN. Once I have gotten a taste of Dwight's sauce I was sold. There wasn't much of a smoke flavor, but the sauce mask the need for that. I have to have Dwight's Ribs at least once a week.
- Pros: Good Food
- Cons: Parking and that they are closed on Mondays
Great BBQ; mac n cheese is amazing
by alakazam345
Great BBQ with a lot of meat. The sauce is a good mix of hot and sweet. The mac n cheese is great, and I know mac n cheese. The service was quick and the price was reasonable.
Not great for the waistline, but oh, the comfort that lies within.

In Short
Dwight's pork ribs are beyond reproach - seared on the outside and tender at the bone. The beef ribs are succulent and flavorful, if a little fatty. Perhaps this is like complaining if the sky is blue. Save room for side dishes like candied yams, collards and a truly superior mac and cheese that combines Longhorn cheddar, sharp cheddar and parmesan.
This is great barbeque

Dwight's is only one of two places that has great barbeque for this area. It's not Chicago or Kansas City, but it's the best I have had here. The ribs are tender, and the price is right. I highly recommend the potato salad....it is to die for!!!!!!!!!! The ambience is perfect - it's a barbeque joint in the inner city and it's take out only. THAT is a barbeque joint!!!!!!!!
- Pros: Tender ribs, Great sides, Price
Sauce Put's Dwight's Over the Top
by jasoneskin
There's so much smoke in the place you're barely able to see. This aides in whetting your appetite, hut also burns your eyes and makes your clothes smell like barbecue.
I tried ordering both pork and beef, but they were OUT of beef that night. We got two pork sandwiches, a full slab of pork ribs, and the mac and cheese.
Don't expect the sandwich to be a sandwich- it was simply the pork short ribs with two pieces of bread.
The sauce is in a league of its own. Get the hot- it's sweet, a little spicy, and just the right consistency. It's a suprisingly complex flavor, everything's perfectly balanced so one complements the other. The meat was good, some parts a little tough- but tender overall.
The mac and cheese is ok. It did have a distinctly subtle flavor to it.
- Pros: Great sauce, Tender ribs
- Cons: , Suprisingly Expensive
Good stuff

Great food and believe it or not, great service too, something you don't always get at popular restaurants.
- Pros: Food, Service
So Good

This is some of the best Bar-B-Q, I've had. Good healthy portions, beef that just fall off the bones. And let's not forget the sauce, that I put on everything.
- Pros: Good Value, Worth the wait

Riyibs

I'm originally from Texas so I can get a bit uppity about my ribs. Dwight's ribs are amazing. Def best north of the Mason Dixon and East of Chicago. I was a bit disappointed in the mac and cheese but I'll be coming back for the meat.
Maybe I won't cook tonight
