I'll try to keep this short, since my full rant could easily take more than the 2000 characters I'm given. The atmosphere at The Prime Rib is not high-class; it is tacky, lame, and too old fashioned for a restaurant that's only been open in Philadelphia since 1997. The quality of the food ranged from mediocre to inedible (seriously, the knife couldn't cut the leather, I mean, steak). The service was atrocious (if a server brings you the wrong drink or dish, she should apologize for the error and fix it, not make excuses and try to cover her tracks). Finally, when you call to complain the next day, the person answering the call should not pretend to be a manager, when she is only a server, and her excuse for the bad meal should not be, "we were just coming off Restaurant Week, and the staff was tired. I realize that all restaurants have "off" nights, but the management should be more willing to rectify the situation and not argue so much about it. We eat out very often, and we are very understanding of restaurants, and we try to keep our expectations realistic, but when I'm paying $500 for a meal, I expect a fantastic meal with fantastic service. I will never be back at the Prime Rib. I'll be at Barclay Prime...or Sizzler.
Pros: You'll be the youngest person there.
Cons: Food, service, atmosphere, value
