Do your homework when selecting an agency. Let us start with the positive; the accounting and payroll departments are very good. Negative aspects: Do you want assignments? Do you want good paying assignments? Do you want staffing counselors who are respectful and take time to answer your questions? If these are your expectations of a good agency, then do not look at Bettingers. Assignments: after the initial one, it usual takes weeks to receive another one and that is after some badgering of staff. Assignments are low paying and $10.00 or less an hour in most cases although they are above entry-level jobs. Staffing counselors are not as courteous as they would appear (after the initial meeting it is down hill), and usually do not call you back for days as well as seem to be for the client and not the temporary worker. Example: If temporary worker is having an issue with the client, they do not usually investigate or immediately give temporary worker support. The counselor usually advises to quit or tells them to lump it or leave it! Do not expect to receive a YOUR EARNED BONUS for working 1000 hours; you have to request it or loose it! Come on you earned it...why do you have to request it. Why isn't it automatically given? That leads me to my final point: this agency is out strictly for every dollar and do not really push temporary-to-hire. I am not the only one of the same opinion other former and present workers have the same complaints. You ask who I am. I am a Bettinger's Temp. Now in between assignments as of Tuesday night when the staffing counselor had the nerve to call after 8:00 PM to say assignment was over and she did not have time to talk about it. To this day (2 days later and some calls), I have yet to hear from her or the Office Manager who is only in one day a week. Please do not be in a rush or desperate like I was to sign up with just any agency; do your homework when selecting an agency. I am in the process now.

Cons: career counselors-staff/assignments few and low wages
