After a recent disappointing haircut at a salon in Haddonfield, a friend recommended Kelly at Pierre and Carlo to me. What a difference an experienced stylist makes! I have long curlyish hair that I like to wear both curly and straight, and Kelly gave me a cut that looks perfect either way. She also recommended toning down my highlights which had gotten too brassy, and she added a special gloss treatment that made my hair look incredibly shiny. I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair before. I will definitely be coming back.

Pros: Professional atmosphere, great location.

Cons: None.

I had been going to the same stylist for 10 years and felt like I needed a change. It was hard to break away from my usual stylist but I was recommended to the salon by a friend. her hair always looks fantastic so I decided to try it. The staff here are fun and made me feel great. The girls at the desk are so friendly and accomadating. My hair came out so great and I feel like a new woman! I have found a new place for the next 20 years at least.

My girlfriend and I decided to take a much needed day at the spa to destress. It's located in the bottom of the Bellvue which is a beautiful building. The spa was fantastic it was so relaxing and everyone was so friendly. We had massages, facials and pedicures and everyone was thorough and very professional. We had such a great time we decided to do it once a month.

I took my girlfriend for a haircut and highlighting yesterday with a noon appointment. Thankfully, she was put into the hands of Jason, who has an excellent track record. He knew what to do with her hair and she looked amazing afterwards. The appointment lasted quite a while as Jason meticulously cut and highlighted her hair. It was worth the wait and the price tag. As in life, you get what you pay for. This was money well spent.

Pros: Jason made my girl go from looking good to AMAZING

I had been searching for a hairstylist for several months after quitting my old salon due to long wait times and prices. It was trial & error but I finally the one for me! My new hair stylist is Jason and he is just wonderful!!! He gave me a great chic cut, listened and knew exactly how to enhance my look. My appt .started on time and the salon staff was friendly and professional. Jason is very experieinced and knows exactly what to do for your hair type. Products he used were also wonderful. My whole experience has been excellent. I'm now walking down the street w/ confidence :) and style. My haire is bouncy and shiny and the cut is of great precision. I am so glad I found him!!!! Also would recommend facials by Alexis. She makes you feel so relaxed and comfortable .Very skilled and efficient . She is absolutely the best!!

I recently decided to give them a try....bad idea. They talk about all their "best of philly" awards, but what they don't tell you when they hang in the hair salon is that they're definitely not for hair. At a salon this expensive, even the most junior stylists they have should be good at what they do.

Pros: none

Cons: located in a basement, unprofessional, bad quality

So I recently had a bad experience at Pierre and Carlo (flithy conditions, inept stylist and overall shabby atmosphere and quality) and so I wrote a review here expressing my opinion of their business. Today I find the review is gone and replaced by positive older reviews. Tsk tsk. To fail a client and to then hush up the truth of the 'Pierre and Carlo experience' is really just sad. But I guess that's what people have to do when their 'spa' is located in a subterranean food court. Really. Only Pro: Yelena's waxing. She is great.

Pros: Yelena

Cons: Everything else. What a horror show.

I have had been getting facials for decades and started going to this salon 2 years ago. I must say ALEXIS IS THE BEST!! no gimmicks, nonsense or product pressure. She is effiicient and thorough and always pleasant. My skin is always glowing when i leave and Alexis provides me with tips on how to maintain. I love it !!!!

Pros: Alexis provides excellant facials;timely

Cons: front desk staff can be condesending/snooty - for what? you have no skill

I went to Pierre and Carlo with my sister and while she got her hair colored .I asked if there was a facial open Well it must have been my lucky day!I got ALEXIS, boy was she a surprise !It was the best facial I have every gotten my skin was glowing ,my legs felt like jelly.I think I'm in love. I'll be back to see her again!

A friend sent me to see Harriet when I moved to Philly from New York. She told me that Harriet does the best brows on the East Coast and she was absolutely right. While the establishment resides in the basement of the Bellevue and isn't the most soothing of atmospheres, it is clean and staff is friendly. Harriet stays late, is always positive and friendly, and does my waxing with pride and precision. She uses a lip brush to apply the wax and has extreme attention to detail. Now that my friend has introduced me to Harriet, I can't imagine going anywhere else.

Pros: Precision and positivity!

Cons: I wish they had later hours.
