I have been a vendor for over 20 years and have been fathfully showing up and paying for my reserved spot. I would think that either the township or the people that worked at the flea market could tell us vendors when and if it might open. We all have been out of work since March and bills are hard to pay. Us loyal venders have been treated so unfair by the township and management. Can someone tell me if it will open anytime soon?

this question is for BobFleaMarket. you said you made friends with some of the vendors there, where are they now? I come in from Texas to buy my jeans and t shirts at Tacony Palmyra. Did they go to other flea markets in the area?

Great flea market! Been going here for years. Have made a lot of friends among the venders here. Unfortunately Palmyra is trying every trick in the book to get possession of the land because they want to build an expo center here. They have tried eminent domain, police closing of the parking lot, using the EPA, to do their dirty work, etc.. using the local police to close the parking lot and turning away customers who said that there were no spots available when there were hundreds of spots empty. Recently, the flea market was temporarily closed due to an EPA cleanup because of some remnants of shell testing from WW2. It was supposed to re-open after 3 weeks. That would have re-opened it in march. it is now JUNE and it is still not open! This is abuse of government.. Several years ago, local government forced the closure of the Pennsauken Mart located about a mile away from the flea market. They had promises of a local sports arena, semi pro hockey team, concert venue, etc.. AFTER the closure the state cancelled all the plans and sold it to a private developer. It forced all the stores and small venders to go elsewhere .Some had been there for several decades before being forced out. Many thousands of shoppers visit the flea market every day trying to get the best deals on items. Many of the customers are low income who can't afford to shop anywhere else. It is a crime to target this flea market to try to raise more in taxes for the government to squander. It seems that the government gets more in tax dollars from a high end residential housing development. I foresee the same thing happening at Tacony Palmyra Flea market. Save the flea market!!!
Pros: Great deals. Terrific variety of goods, crafts, tools, household, clothing. Love it!!
Cons: Could be more parking, better driveways for entry / exit.

Despite previous false reports by the uninformed, the Tacony-Palmyra Flea Market, which has been temporarily closed since early March, will be reopening at the end of May. Contrary to rumors, the report on TV said NOTHING about the market not opening. The management of the market has confirmed that they are indeed reopening. They are simply waiting for confirmation of removal of all of the antique ordinance. This is the greatest market in the Delaware Valley!

Tacony Palmyra Flea Market is not re-opening.They did find shells there months ago but it was just on ch. 10 on the news that they moved the new location for the EXPO center there so the flea markets is NOT reopening. Most of the vendor's are staying near New York at the medow lands and some of the vendors that are local all moved to Berlin Farmers market...It was on the news last week

The reason that the flea market is being temporarily shut down is due to finding live shells from wwII. It was an emergency shut down . As far as I know it will be opening soon. 1-856-829-3000 is their number with a recorded message. Hope this was helpful.
Pros: always something you need and lots of parking
Cons: sometimes hot and crowded
