before i signed on with the zone diet, i was on nutrisystem. nutrisystem's food was simply awful... (think: add water to powder to make eggs! yuck) but then i guess you get what you pay for. but then i thought, why pay for something i don't enjoy?? and if i don't enjoy it, how can i stay on the program? and if i don't stay on the program, i'll never reach my goal weight! a friend recommended that i try the zone diet and i'm kicking myself for not joining sooner. what a huge difference in the food. for starters, the zone diet at home service sent me REAL food. tasty, wholesome, yummy REAL food. great menu choices and i'm surprised at how simple dieting can possibly be. i lost 12 pounds in 8 weeks. great program!

I ordered the optimum results program through the special promotion on citysearch to get 5 days free. The catch is that you have to pay $40 to have those free meals shipped. I suppose it is still a good deal, since it is $150 worth of meals. Im starting my second week and the food is better than I expected. I dont have a scale at home; I threw that out a long time ago. But I feel good so far.
Pros: 5 free days
Cons: shipping costs

I enjoy this service a lot and I continue to lose weight from sticking to this program. My husband turns his nose on my diet food. I wont tell him how delicious the food is, so he wont be tempted to eat my meals! Although it is hard to watch him munch on potato chips and ice cream, the fact that Im noticing a big difference in my weight helps to keep me on track. I like that I can customize my menu. The muffins, soy chips and cheesecakes are so good that I cant believe Im supposed to eat it to lose weight! I have more energy now to run after my kids. I highly recommend the Zone Diet.
Pros: cheesecake!
Cons: takes up fridge space

My only complaint about the zone diet service is that not all programs are customizable. I'm on the frozone, and if I could, I'd have the rosemary chicken and stuff shells for dinner every night. I don't like curry, so I don't like the curry chicken with basmati rice meal. It would be great if all programs offer us a chance to customize. The portions are smaller than I am used to, but then again, the purpose is to lose weight. Overall, I'm happy with the service, meals and its effective in helping me lose weight.
Pros: lose weight
Cons: frozone program is not customizable

I've been on a few meal delivery programs mostly for the convenience. Zone Diet At Home stands out for me because of their great customer service. I always ask for Lori whenever I have a question about changing my meals. Very friendly and goes above and beyond to help!
Pros: customer service

I joined for two reasons: I wanted to maintain my weight and didn't want to THINK about food. My busy work schedule keeps me from going to the gym as often as I should. The Zone Diet helps a lot because I would otherwise be eating unhealthy take-out foods while sitting on my butt all day behind the desk. Just knowing that the food is good for me takes some of the guilt away from not going to the gym. Would recommend to those who want to lose weight as well.
Pros: no guilt for eating

I signed on for the zone diet because I wanted to lose 10 pounds in time for my wedding. After being on the program for 28 days, I lost 12 pounds. Perhaps it was because I was so determined to lose the weight or maybe this diet really does give me more energy but I did it! I kept up with my hour long workouts 6 days a week. Eating the great meals while watching my body look better and better helped keep me going. My only worry was losing too much weight and having my wedding dress be too big on me!
Pros: variety, convenient
Cons: price

I first heard of the Zone Diet many years ago, but I opted do to Atkins because I loved the idea of eating all the steak I wanted. I lost weight on Atkins, but I soon got tired of my food options. I couldnt stop from craving bread, pasta and rice, even though I had a nice juicy rib eye steak in front of me. So I did some research on the Zone Diet and I liked what I saw. The Zone Diet is based on eating proper proportions of protein, carbs and fats and it works to help people lose weight based on the combination of foods and when you eat it. Since Ive been on the Zone, I dont crave any foods because nothing is forbidden. Ive been on and off the FroZone (clever name!) program for about 8 months. I would complete a 14 or 28 day program and then do the Zone on my own for a few weeks. When I do the Zone on my own, I dont calculate protein and carb grams- that would be too complicated. I just estimate and eyeball the correct proportions and it works fine for me. Although I do like to cook, preparing my own Zone meals can get time consuming, which is why I always go back to the FroZone program. The prepared meals are convenient for me and it teaches me to get used to smaller portions. Im at my ideal weight and this program has helped me to achieve it and maintain it. I also recommend the Omega-3 supplements because the supplements help to provide the fat portion of the protein-carb-fat ratio.
Pros: convenient, healthy
