i was visiting from Virginia, and hadn't been to Philly in years after leaving AC.

i must admit that initially i was concerned based on the location, thinking that the food would not be all that great.....................BUT...........the guacamole dip, the vegan chilli fries, your version of ranch dressing [with a hint of dill] - unusually tasty......and the dessert.....i honestly did not want to leave....

the regular customer, who took me there for the first time, clearly understood that i was having an ORGANIC experience, right there at the table...lol

long story short, my child's daycare teacher is from Philly, and your restaurant is all i've talked to her about - we are making plans so that i can make it back there again over this summer, while i visit my mom in Atlantic City.....and please be open....lol

thank you for the heavenly experience.

  • Pros: the food - every bite was delectable
  • Cons: location, i could never find it as a visitor in Philly

Fresh, local, and looks delicious. And that is just the staff. And then the food is so good! I have been here countless times and they really know how to work an EXTENSIVE menu FAST! The menu is crammed with tiny print both sides of wonderful things! vegetarian friendly! Something for everyone, and the servers are sweet and patient. Dr. Pepper from the fountain is so good here too.

  • Pros: It's worth the wait!
  • Cons: grumpy people standing around complaining about waiting.

My family and I come in weekly for the bargain breakfast-- two eggs, a latke, challah toast and coffee for four dollars. You can't beat that anywhere in town, especially not anywhere with this much charm and friendliness.

  • Pros: Child friendly, affordable, friendly staff, great food!

I go by this place a lot, daily, in fact. There are always folks outside waiting to get in. Swarms of folks, sometimes. I've stopped by to read the menu... There is no way am I waiting 2 hours for brunch, especially with many other local places to choose from...

One day I managed to pop in and grab a seat for brunch. Had a hankering for Huevos Rancheros. Now, it could be that this isn't their specialty, but they were terrible. The most bland, watery and disappointing Huevos I have ever had. And I do like my Huevos. And they cost a fortune. The table service was slow, the kitchen was slow, the food was terrible, the coffee was burnt, the people were for the most part nice, if a little slow. Did I mention slow? And terrible? This place is way over-hyped. But, by all means, keep going there. It means I can get a table at a more flavorful and punctual local brunch spot?

  • Pros: Local
  • Cons: Tasteless Food, Slow Service, Long Wait

I think it's funny when people complaints about a place that is too busy and they have to wait (I mean come on if that many people are going to a place it has to be good!), and I think it's funny that another con was location, haha, sorry it's not in your neighborhood b/c it is in mine and I am loving it! Ok, now to the food....there is basically and endless menu of new things to try, of almost every origin too! I can go in and try a new thing every time I go in...which is almost 3 times a week. It's a great date place, family place, group gathering place, it's warm and cozy, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the staff is top notch. As for that one guy with the 4 foot cheese....you loved the place the first time...everyone is allowed to have a mess up don't know a place for a fluke.....but anyway...go to Honey's you become addicted and be there every day!

  • Pros: Amazing food at a great price
  • Cons: Absolutely nothing...

This is a very popular place for brunch on the weekends, but as a result, the wait is forever and a day. I find that annoying, and often give up waiting, but the food is really good. Check it out!

I know, people love this place and I respect for the freshness and local buying. The blt is good, but there is no way it is worth the wait you see there on any weekend day - people on every corner for like an hour, c'mon...

I love this place - they have EVERYTHING in the world, including some awesome blueberry preserves that taste great on their [warm!] biscuits. The only problem is that is gets busy, and there aren't enough workers to serve people quickly. Go on off-hours.

My wife and I went to this resturant on our 25th anniversary and we were impressed. That was then and today's experience has put us in the NEVER AGAIN clients. We ordered a a brisket sandwich which we were going to share but for some reason when I attempted to cut it in half the a large section of the bottom part of the sandwich was so hard the knife could not cut it. I found out it was a larger peice of hardened cheese about 3' by 2'. That was bad enough when I saw a member of the staff with a large 'abrasion" on his right forearm. It may have been covered with some type of liquid bandage it should have been covered with some type of bandage. In California they would have closed the resturant down. There were a few other problems but the above are enough to make us only former customers.
