I've been here twice and both times the food was excellent. My filet was grilled to perfection. The desserts were also fabulous! Go hungry!

The Continental Midtown is just about my favorite place in the city to hang out. They've a great drink menu (my fave is the "French 75"), and the atmosphere is awesome, between the different colors, lighting, hanging bamboo chairs, and what I love in the warmer weather; a rooftop deck! Just wish it were bigger, but you can't have everything.
Pros: Drinks/Atmosphere/Stylish/Rooftop Deck
Cons: Just wish the rooftop deck was bigger!

I've eaten at Continental midtown a number of times and have never had a complaint about the food. The lobster mac & cheese is amazing. It is delightfully cheesy and tender and you'll never want another mac & cheese again. The calamari salad is refreshing and a great quick bite to eat. The calamari is perfectly cooked, never overdone and chewy. I would prefer that they take reservations as the waits can sometimes drag on and on, and during peak meal times it can be very loud, but overall, it's a great place for a nice, quick bite to eat.
Pros: reasonably priced, good food, inventive menu
Cons: waiting

the midtown is an amazing atmosphere and has a great vibe and energy to it, pair up with a fantastic selection of martinis served in their own shaker, along with some great food leads to having a great time.

I just recently went to Continental with my boyfriend for a Valenitines Day dinner and really enjoyed myself! It was my frist time going to a tapas resturant and I will surely be asking to go again! The food was great...........I loved the small portions! Left room for dessert.(gotta try the milk and cookies, it takes just like creme brulee without the sugar top!) I had the Thai Chicken with Peanut Sauce and my boyfriend had the lobster rolls. We also shared the hummus and pita chips! WONDERFUL! I had no clue until reading other reviews on here that they have an outside upstairs! Want to go back in the warmer months and sit outside! I already know what I am going to have next time I go! Philly cheesesteak rolls with fries! The waiter that we had was really nice and explained to me all about how the resturant works.......It's a great, hip place for a date!
Pros: Great service and food is great
Cons: N/A

I searched online for an international cuisine restaurant to take my mother before a show at the Wachovia Center. After reading some reviews and looking at the menu I decided here. What a terrific decision! Michael, our server, was courteous and helpful and on our next visit we will request him. We asked a ton of questions and being a server myself, I thought we were being a little bit of a pain. He stayed calm and extremely nice and attentive. My mother was espically happy that they carried fat free skim milk for her tea, which is rare for a restaurants. The tea and food presentation and taste were esquisite. The atmosphere was delightful with so many different decorations to discuss, espically while sitting in a hanging chairs. There was a nice variety of choices and after much deliberation my mother and I choose Ahi Tuna Tartare, shrimp & scallop spring rolls, hummus and a thai chicken dish. The tuna was to die for. It was so good that I put in a take out order to bring home to my husband (he also loved it). My mother is not found of Romaine lettuce which was part of the chicken dish so they happily substiuted Boston lettuce instead. It really helped make the dish. The hummus was tasty and the spring rolls were alright. The spring rolls didn't have much flavor but were a nice texture. I wouldn't order those again. The dessert presentation was so beautiful you almost didn't want to eat it. My mother enjoyed her raspberry chocolat cake while I savored my tirumasu like dessert served in a martini glass. The only negative thing that we experienced, or I should say my mother experienced, was she didn't appreciate the tempo of the music or the cool draft above her seat. Once we talked to the manager about the draft he corrected the problem immediately. So, over all, if you would like an experience in a unique restaurant with terrific service and exceptional food, this is the place for you. We plan on making another trip with realitives.
Pros: Great food, terrific service and wonderful atmosphere
Cons: non

So the food here is good, but what you really should come for are the drinks and dessert! The many small chocolatey, creative bite-sized (so you won't feel too guilty) desserts are satisfying, and all of the drinks are great though I LOVE the pomegranate daiquiri and buzz aldrin the most. The upstairs outdoor bar is a great place to be in the summertime.
Pros: great drinks
Cons: pricey

I've been to the Continental Mid-town a few times and each time has been soo great. Although I've passed by it and have seen it get crowded, I've never had to wait too long because of the time I went. There are so many food choices and they're all good size portions for sharing. Everything I've had tasted so amazing!
Pros: Hummus and pita, apple salad, upstairs swings seating
Cons: crowded during the evening
