I went there for swimming classes. The front desk, depending on who you get on the certain day/time can be either knowledgable or have no clue about the services offered. It is best to believe the advice of the actual trainer that you will be working with - if you seek training. The swimming class was good - my trainer did meet with me for the full 1/2 hour that I paid for. I had a good time, but scheduling can be a bit tough b/c they will only schedule you if you had paid for a class. The only downfall about this place at the Grant Avenue facility is the shower room. It seems to be a bit run down and the water from the next stall dribbles over into my shower which is not very pleasant while you are taking a shower and trying to clean yourself. If you don't mind just quickly rinising off and then driving home immediately to take a full shower (which is what I ended up doing), then everything else is tolerable/okay.
Pros: Trainer did meet with me for the full 1/2 hour that I paid for
Cons: Shower stalls - not 100% clean and the water from the next stall will dribble over

The Aquatic and Fitness Center at Grant Avenue-- I've been a member here for about 5 years. I never thought water aerobics would be so much fun. They really make you feel at ease. I've never had a bad day here.
Pros: great pool, good gym
Cons: locker rooms a little out of date

You have to check this place out! It has the most amazing pool. It is bigger than the pool in the Olympics. they also have a giant therapy pool for classes, do swim lessons for my son, and an awesome gym. It was only $40 per month too. If you swim this is the only choice. Everythin is included in the membership too.
Pros: Pool, Fitness Center, Nice staff

Do not join this gym, unless you like being ripped off! I was a member for 1 year, and when I signed the agreement, my contract stated "First & Last month free" After 11 months, I told them I would no longer like to be a member, they stated that I had to pay the last month!! After I showed them the contract they gave me, they still insisted that I pay for the last month, and they started harassing me! I cancelled my debit card, so they could not collect the money, and they continued to call to harrass me every single day! After numerous threats, they have sent the collection company after me for the measly $45 that I supposedly owed. Long story short, do not believe anything the people at this gym say, it's WORSE than bally's. At least you can get out of the Bally's contract if you die. Even if your contract is in writing, they insist to queeze every last penny out of you, so BEWARE and find a more honest gym.
Pros: Pool
Cons: Con-Artists, Bastards, Used-car salesman
