Great Food, Great Atmosphear, Best Drinks, and Hot outdoor Lounge- Says It All! I would recomend this place for a first dante, Gay or Metro-Stright its the place to be! With a Modern-Teh/ Romantic dim Lit Vibe this place has all the Environmental needs for a Good night!... And their happy hour is Great!
Thanks Bump! Questions? Myspace. com/LukeMartin2
- Pros: MUSIC, DRINKS, FOOD, Service, VIBE!
- Cons: Not open in the daytime- For the Night owls
Nothing special

Was passable until Size Queen Thursdays. Food is overpriced and the menu hasn't changed in years. Harris is a cutie, but bar staff Joey and Cyoni are the worst. Until you can mix a decent drink, lose the attitude ladies.
- Pros: Harris
- Cons: The food, the bartenders
Bump Is Sad
by michaeljjohn
This place is horrible. Its the same "wanna be" local celebs, that think they are somebody. The service is bad, and its got a cheesy atmosphere. Im glad its closing
I'm embarrassed for them!

I had some friends in town from New York and wanted to take them to one of Philly's "nicer" gay bars. A coworker recommended Bump. It was terrible! Happy hour is no good if you can't get a drink. Bartender was a snotty b***h, he served who he wanted to and ignored everyone else. This place tries to be hip and classy, but fails miserably. Bump is a joke. I am embarrassed for them!
- Pros: good neighborhood
- Cons: rude bartenders, crowed, slow / non-exsistent service, snotty without a reason to be
Dinner! Martinis! 'Mos!

Bump has a great decor but the ambiance is marred a bit by the loud music. There's no dance floor here so we shouldn't be screaming to have discussions with friends who are sitting right next to us.
There's food and a great specialty martini menu. The staff is very nice (and usually pretty easy on the eyes) and the customers tend to be a different breed from what one finds at most of the other gay bars in town. Stop in more than once because the atmosphere changes quite a bit depending on the time of day.
I've met some very interesting characters and I've never had a bad experience at Bump. Give it a try. I think you'll find it's mostly laid-back and very enjoyable.
- Pros: Decor, staff, atmosphere, not the same old crowd
- Cons: Music is always too loud

A MUST SEE

I don't know what those other reviews are about. I go to Philly once a month and the ONE place that I know I will go to is Bump. Great food, drinks, staff, etc. LOCATION!!! It's a great place to start out your night.
Anyone consider going here; DO NOT PAY ANY ATTENTION to those other reviews. GO!
- Pros: Excellent service; really only gay/lesbian restaurant; excellent Sunday brunch
- Cons: small bar
A stylishly comfortable boy bar in the heart of the Center City.

In Short
The former Globar has retained the futuro-geometric decor, but chucked the confusing menu. The result is a cool, friendly hangout with house music and a mean Sunday brunch. Tuesday through Friday happy hour features a $2 martini menu with all of the trendy flavors: green apple, chocolate and sake. But for the traditionalist, the Bump-tenders also make a mean dirty martini. Or choose from what may be the city's largest selection of light beer.
Friendly waiter, thats about all!

I was there on Friday, June 9th 2006 for the first time. Not being familiar with Philly a freind recommended it to me and we both went for dinner. The service was terrible. The first round of drinks came fast, but the food was about as slow as comming as it could be. Must have taken at least 30 minutes or more to get the food. Food was ok, but nothing that great. I will probably not go back there again.
- Pros: Good location.
- Cons: Atmosphere stinks!
Cheap Booze, Cute Boys - That's IT
by pbpb
The food sucks.. They focus on drinks so you won't notice the burnt road kill and weeds they serve at dinner. Great boy watching though
- Pros: boys
- Cons: food
