User Reviews for Seraphin Gallery

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

As always, the Art shown by this gallery far exceeds anything shown in Philadelphia. We always enjoy the dry wit of Anthony Seraphin the director. I never bother sending reviews, however after being made aware of the ridiculous review written on this site. I made Anthony buy me lunch to prove them wrong. Thanks again for you time and patience, the piece looks great on my wall.

Pros: Best gallery in Philadelphia

My husband and I have been purchasing Art from Seraphin Gallery since we moved into Center City 4 years ago. Our best pieces have come from Seraphin. We try to never miss an opening. I just read "shermeela" posting. She needs to "get a life" If she rates this Gallery because of the owners poor sence of humor, that is sad. I have dealt with Tony Seraphin many times, and although he isn't "warm and fuzzy", he has one of the best "art eyes"in the bussiness, and we have followed his suggestion often and never been sorry. I have many New York friends who check out the gallery scene in Philadelphia, and the always stop at this gallery. I've never heard anything but good remarks about the gallery, their staff or the art they show.,

Cons: Tough to park on street in area. Must use parking lots.

Having recently purchased a condo in Center City, I am in desperate need of art to cover my walls, so I frequent galleries from Philly to NYC to get to know artists and their work. I recently received an email invitation from Seraphin announcing an exhibit, but noticed that the opening date was in the past. Jokingly I replied to the email pointing out the fact to the message sender. I received a reply from Tony Seraphin himself stating that I should be interested in the art, not the free food. While I am appalled that he would put such a message in writing and address it to a customer, I am amused by how such an act speaks volumes about the business and its representatives. If a gallery owner views his own customers and freeloaders, would you want to patronize his business?

Cons: Rude
