Delicious Freshly made Italian Food!
by wb6429
We had a delightful time at Langostini's. The appetizers were terrific. We all agreed that the veal picata, the lobster ravioli and the veal parmigiana were the best we ever had. We will be going back.

It is absolutly one of the most amazing restaurants in Philly that I must visit each time travelling in Philly! The most delicious pastas with mussels! The best desserts and the best service! When I go to Langostinos, I feel I am at home with a great arm meal and great serving staff! :)
- Cons: A wonderful restaurant!
best BYOB! cozy and elegant atmosphere!
by gricconi
Langostini is a perfect cozy restaurant! We love the home-made food and the pastas which makes us come back again and again. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is always great; we love gnocchi and seafood dishes, grilled calamari, clams and mussels. The weekly specials, like eggplant parmigiano are awesome! Our favorite ?Amore?cake ? triple layer chocolate mascarpone cream cake, homemade, absolutely delicious!! Good prices and BYOB makes it a great value!!!! The nearest wine shop is just a few blocks away, lots of free public parking!!! Reservations are recommended: on website, easy!
- Pros: great food! authentic italian! best gnocchi in town! cozy & romantic BYOB!
BEST ITALIAN BYOB YET!!! GOOD 4 BEFORE A GAME OR CONCERT!!!
by adgerbam13
Me and my boyfriend go out to eat all the time and this is one of the best Italian BYOBs we've been to yet!! The service was excellent!!! Leading with Irene the cook/server/hostess/EVERYTHING!!! SHE IS AMAZING!!!! Then followed by her beautiful daughter helping out!!! The restaurant is cute and quiet but the food is out of this world.
The caesar salad looked like it had no dressing on it but i tried it anyway.... it was so light, but BURSTING with flavor!! SO GOOD! The soup--one of the best homemade wedding soup i've ever had! Irene allowed us to mix the clams and the mussels for an appetizer but if you like spice-GET the spicy marinara, it was delicious!! The special of the night was eggplant parm, which i got, it was almost like eggplant lasagna layered with cheese and baked, it was so cheesy and melty and delicious.... My boyfriend got veal with procuitto which was pounded flat--we heard Ireene back there pounding that veal-- which he LOVED! AND so did i & i normally dont like veal!
Then we had to get dessert, he got a cannoli which was homemade, and i got the Amore Cake!!!
Freaking awesome homemade LOVE CAKE!! IF you love it then COME HERE!!!!
We will definitely be back !!!!!! Oh yeah .... AND GOOD PRICES!!! $$
GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!!
- Pros: PARKING, LOCATION, FOOD, SERVICE
Cozy BYOB with good food!
by robandjen
Six couples drove from the Main Line for dinner. We wanted a BYOB and found this place online.
We had a few bottles of wine and good food. The appetizers were delicious.....especially the grilled calamari, caprese and ceasar salads. Each of us enjoyed our entrees as well. The seafood with linguini and homemade gnocchi were yummy. The place was small and cozy and the service was great. Irene, the owner, introduced herself. We would definitely go back again.
Best home made gnocchi !!!
by nat1v
Langostini, new name, known as Langostino's -renovated, cozy, relaxing and friendly BYOB place, great food! Best home made gnocchi!! Every entree but one, the Langostini plate, is under $20 and unlike almost all other center city and South Philly restaurants, there is plenty of free public parking! Recommended! You can make a reservation on their web site .
- Pros: Best home made gnocchi ! plenty of free public parking!
- Cons: closed on monday
just ok
by 23cent
would have been quaint if food was better, instead left feeling place was just small and plain.
Had read that Mussels were very good, we thought they were bland and sauce was tasteless.
All entrees were just ok and lacked much flavor.
Too many good BYOBs around town to go back there
Great Date Place on a Thursday night
by thetvguy
Not only was I highly impressed by the copious amounts of food and the variety of ways to seve it, but also the prices. Incredibly affordable. I wanted to take my date out for a spontaneous and special night out on a Thursday...we had our big bottle of wine and were ready. I hadn't made a reservation, but instead of giving us that 'look' when we said we didn't have reservations, we got the 2-seater by the door. The location didn't matter. We sipped our own wine, weren't hassled by our waiter and again, the food was amazing. I'll definitely be back, but this time will make reservations!
- Pros: Variety of food, Prepared well, Highly affordable
- Cons: Crowded, but intimate
