Pretty awesome

Great veggie selection and weekly specials on organic fruits and produce. The Bakery is especially amazing - everything that comes out of the bakery tastes great. Also, when you buy a loaf, the bakers take time to wrap it especially for you and place it into your hands with exceptional grace, and always a smile. Everything is super fresh - I especially love all the foreign goodies that occasionally pop up amidst all the local organic produce. Unfortunately, because it is the only great supermarket around this area, the lines are unbelievably horrid. Go there on your day off, in the morning or afternoon - anytime after 4 pm is horrible, and it only gets worse, especially if snow is expected.

• Pros: Larger store/selections than south st. location
• Cons: Terribly crowded after work hours and sundays; before storms

Treat the body like a temple at the country's first national certified organic market.

Whole Foods is a vegetarian's dream grocery store, with a focus on natural and organic goods and a gargantuan selection of fruits, vegetables and vegan products. But carnivores won't feel neglected, as stores also boast a vast selection of top-quality meats, poultry and fish. Also expect fresh-baked goods, housewares, a floral department and a well-stocked vitamin and personal-product section. Deli offers hot and cold prepared foods and artisanal cheeses.

My favorite grocery!

Whole Foods Market is the best! They have a wide selection of produce, seafood, and prepared items. They even do whole thanksgiving meals (ours last year was delicious...)and have catering services. It is also one of the few places in the area that I can stock up on my Five Star hazlenut candy bars. They have an excellent gingerbread sold by the slab in their bakery and have a great selection of natural products such as toothpastes, and the best selection of Terra Chips too. Whole Foods also has a wide variety of cheeses and they have a varied bread selection. Please open one in Delaware soon!
