Direct from New York, this Irish-inspired bar and restaurant brings New American fare--with an Emerald Isle twinkle--to Philly.
by Contributor
In Short
This vast restaurant and bar, filled with dark wood, TVs, alt rock and Irish staffers, attracts the Phoenix Apertment's fresh-faced residents, along with patrons in button-downs or black leather pants. Just when you thought you could write off the Irish-theme pub fare, the meal arrives: ribbons of smoked salmon layered with light corn pancakes, foie gras and chicken pâté with raisin toast points.

My favorite stop any day of the week. You WILL NOT find better service elsewhere in this city. The staff is attentive and prompt. I never have to ask twice for anything here. The food is exceptional and the atmosphere is electric. The location is choice for the quick and needie before you have to hit the train home at Suburban Station. Why go anywhere else?
- Pros: Exceptional Service, Food, Happy Hour
- Cons: Smoke, Noise
Great Business Lunch

This is one of my favorites in the city. Traditional Irish Pub fare, always fresh and well presented. I have never been disappointed with any choice.
- Pros: Selection, Price, Location
SERVICE IS LACKING

I went to Tir Na Nog last week to grab some food and drinks with a friend for her birthday. A couple of days later I realized that I could not find my credit card and that I could have left it there. I was obviously panicked and I just wanted to confirm that it was there so I would not have to cancel it. I called Tir Na Nog and told the girl who answered the phone what happened (who couldn't sympathize?). She told me, "Actually, we are really busy right now. Can you call back tomorrow-day..." and hung up. How is that for service?
- Pros: good after work bar, happy hour
- Cons: service, bad parking

Great Happy Hour!!!!

Been here for a couple of happy hours. Great, older crowd. Age range is from upper 20's to upper 30's. Didn't notice any "happy hour" drink specials though
