The new management and his racest tactics to rid black and minority employees
by frogro
the new store manager jeff beaky of the fresh grocer located on 40th and walnut has plans to bring a change to this store. he has outwardly stated that he plans to intimidate most if not all of his black and minority emploees by cutting their days and hours hopefully forcing them to quit so that he can change the face of the store and save a buck by not having to pay unemployement. Jeff beaky 40th streets store manager has already put his plain in motion removing all black and minority employees from management positions.
- Cons: racism with management

They always have extremely rude cashiers who get mad when you make them work i.e. do their job. While cashing out, I asked the cashier to validate my parking pass. She said she couldn't because her thing wasn't working and I should ask the cashier next to her. So I did and she told me to go back to my original cashier and have her do it because it's not her job. I told my original cashier this and she said she couldn't do it, go find someone else to. Mind you, I hadn't actually left the line and never moved besides turning from one cashier to the next, both ignoring me, never once glancing in my direction while speaking to me. I finally had to raise my voice above everyone to get a manager to come and validate my parking. He took me to the customer service line and had me wait in line to have my parking validated. They have AWFUL customer service period.
- Pros: They have some things that you can't find anywhere else
- Cons: TERRIBLE customer service, rude clerks
horrible supervisor--Chris
by Buddymoore
On Wednesday June 25, I bought a meal. I went to the dining area and sat when I was told I had to pay first. I asked politely if I could eat first, concerned my meal would get cold. The associate said no and immediately called security, after I gave consent to purchasing my meal. The supervisor immediately approached me screaming and yelling saying he was going to have me arrested, even though I complied about buying my meal. I told him that is not how you approach a customer and that his style of speaking is completely unacceptable. I told him I did not want to purchase the meal because it was now cold. He then told me I had to leave the store, and if I didn't pay he would have me arrested. Being frustrated that he was the highest official there and there was no one else to talk to, I left, purchasing my meal. I asked a store associate his name, which is Chris Gilliam(don't know how it is spelled). The associate offered to buy my meal and told me Chris does not know how to approach people and said this has happened before. This was the worst I have ever been treated, and it was a supervisor doing so. I am very upset with the service, and I would like to know this won't happen again. Thank you.
