N. 3rd is one of the my favorite hangouts! The wings are amazing with a beers to match. Great for people watching in the summer.

For a young family on a tight budget, this is the place to eat. We have been coming to N 3rd for a number of years now and have NEVER had a bad meal. The service is great (and they are all so very good looking :) and the food is consistent. I'm IN LOVE with the lamb sandwich special. PUT IT ON THE MENU!! And the tuna burger is insane...the spring rolls to die for...the half chicken entree...the mojito martini...the chocolate bread pudding. Oh my god. I'm getting hungry. And they are always so cool about accommodating our 4 year old with a chicken strip and french fry platter (which is not on their menu).

Pros: so satisfying if you're easygoing and just want a good meal.

Cons: not open for lunch.

I have been to North 3rd several times, both for brunch and dinner. Each time I visit I find that the food has gone slightly down hill and the servers become increasingly less customer driven/focused. This last visit was for brunch. It is seat yourself, so it can be a little difficult to find a table. For this reason we ate at the bar. It took over 30 minutes for us to get our food, we ordered wings and a sandwich to share. The wings were delcious, the sauce was just the right spice and the blue cheese was fresh. However, the sandwich was soggy. Our server was annoyed when we asked for condiments, and never came to check on us. What was supposed to be a quick brunch, ended up taking over 1.5 hours due the long wait for the food. T

N 3rd is the spot for Eagles fans! From the great atmosphere to the numerous beer selections to the music and, let's not forget, they're a great spot for a good meal. We always receive excellent service from the wait staff which is hard to come by these days in other bars and restaurants. Definitely a spot to go!

Pros: food, atmosphere, wait staff, and Eagles football!

North 3rd is one of the better relaxed bars to stop in for a good meal in Philly. The prices are reasonable, could be cheaper but there are certainly places in the area that charge more. The menu is their real selling point; it offers a nice variety and the food has been high quality each time I've gone. The beer list is also very good. Parking is usually pretty easy and while it's often crowded, you should be able to get a seat. The atmopshere is chill and the place is spacious and airy. I always mean to get to North 3rd more often, and when I get a chance to I always wonder why I don't.

Met friends for drinks and dinner on a recent Sunday night. Started out great with an impressive beer selection and extensive menu. Note: it was still light out when we arrived. Appetizers were good, above-average, typical bar food including the calamari. As the sun began to set, it gradually got darker and darker. By the time, our main courses arrived (burgers and the crispy chicken sandwich-yummy) it was dark enough that we had to summon the server and request that additional lights be turned on so we could see the food on our plates. Our request was denied and we were given the explanation that the owner would not allow the staff to alter the lighting. The food was great, as was the early ambience, but it went downhill with the sunset. I struggle giving a good recommendation to a place that made me struggle to see and eat my food but the place was a total joy except for the lighting. PLEASE add some wattage to the bulbs hanging above the bar and to both dining rooms! I would love to go back but will only do so in the daytime until this issue has been resolved.

Pros: Beer menu, food, great place to meet friends during the day

Cons: Lighting, lighting, lighting

I was shocked upon my return to North Third how much the overall quality of the food had slipped. The mussels exuded an unpleasant smell, indicative of seafood passed its prime, of the salad with chili-rubbed chicken breast only the few strips of breast were good - the salad was a soggy heap. Still great: the chicken wings and the chocolate bread pudding (omit the tasteless pear crumble). The service is as friendly and efficient as ever (our waitress took the mussels off the bill), the place seems to get darker with every visit - great for dates, just don't try to talk over the very loud (and good) soundtrack. A more frequent changing of the beers on tap would be nice.

Pros: great wings and chocolate bread pudding, good beer selection

Cons: the kitchen does not pay attention to a number of dishes

Me and my friends always try to come here on for Sunday morning football and brunch. Always a great time. It's one of the few places that has a fancypants menu, but still has the atmosphere of a cool bar. In other words, the person eating the eggs benedict at the table next to you isn't going to lose their stuff if you start yelling at the monitors. This place is also incredible at night--lots of great looking people, excellent choice of beer and music that doen't want to make you rip your head out.

Went for our Sunday brunch. Long wait for a table and long wait for the food. Very, very nice staff. The food here is very nice, but really no different than what most "in" places are doing these days. I had the N 3rd salad with chicken. Good - but a little spare with the chicken. I also don't care for salads with cherry tomatoes. My wife had the pulled pork omelet. Great idea, but the pork was cold. Looking around I would say that the platters looked pretty good. I'd like to try the chili omelet and the salmon dishes. This place is very noisy. We were outside and still found ouselves crinching at the loud screams of the folks watching and Eagles game on the bar tv. I can't imagine what inside was like! But, that's what folks go there for. We were the outsiders. This is also a big smoker's place. Here again, even though we were outside, the smoke hits you. If you're just looking for a pleasant Sunday brunch, there are numerous other places just as good or better. If you want the Eagles, beer , cigarettes and rowdy comeraderie - this is for you.

Pros: nice staff, ok food

Cons: cigarettes, loud, slow

This is always a busy place. I usually find a place at the bar with a couple friends. I havent tried the food, but its definitely warrants the $$. A nice selection of beer and ale. My favorite is the abt 12 Belgian beer. N 3rd truly has a feeling unto its own.

Pros: ambience

Cons: $$
