Pop art and vintage furnishings for essential loft living.

In Short
Fun, affordable adornments for urban living consist of equal parts art and furnishings. Check out Brady Bunch rec-room sofas, highly polished French tables and porcelain wall clocks, chairs in rustic wood and retro plastics, loads of mod martini sets, glassware and ashtrays, and, as Lawler says, "I always have a bar." Local-turned-national pop painters Jenie Moore and Jeff Schaller display their dramatic, funky renditions of the TV generation here.

Mixed Company is a really artsy, neat store. They have really bright artwork on the walls and cool accents throughout the store. They sell unique artwork and furniture, including tables, couches, clocks, and glassware. The pieces are surprisingly affordable. The owner and staff are very nice and friendly. They will gladly help you pick out pieces or give you background information on their items. Parking sometimes is a problem.

I met the owner of Mixed Company on a First Friday--what a great gal! Her eye for the unusual, and ability to MIX Japanimation and French Countyr/Paris Chic is amazing. Mixed Company is definately a good name for this shop that goes from kitschy to Paris Chic in two steps. I love when someone asks me 'what are you going to use those for' when I buy something, because it's never the original use. Mixed Company is worth a trip from the 'suburbs' to see and buy from their great collection of eclectic home furnishings. Forget the ecomony! Spend money! We NEED shops like this. Please support them!
- Pros: unusual selection, great/fair prices, easy to get to
- Cons: me not living in Phil, n/a, n/a
