New and Wonderful esthetician for waxing and facials

I've been going to Kelly @ bluemercury for all my waxing for a year now. She's fabulous, great service, efficient and fast. I recently needed to be waxed & Kelly wasn't working so I went to their new esthetician, Kim. She's just as wonderful and quick. I found out Kim is also a medical esthetician so I booked a facial with her. She took ten years off my face! I was relaxed and glowing. I highly recommend seeing both Kim and Kelly for all your spa and waxing needs!

Service was not that great

I went to see Kelly for a brazillian as the reviews told me... She was not very fast and did not get all of the hair off ..... I was not happpy and it was not so wonderful... Well it took her an hour to wax me.... So if that is fast I hate to see slow.... I called and told the sales person on the phone I was not happy... Well then they ask me to try an other person Jay. And I must say I was out of her room with in 15mins and you could not tell I ad just been waxed at all. Smooth as a baby... Ladies you no what I mean....

Best spa for waxing. True spa experience. See Kelly!

After having a terrible experience a few years back, I was afraid to return to this location, but I was brave and gave them another go. Boy am I glad I did! I had the total opposite experience this time. Let me tell you, I have been to spas all over the world and at several locations in Philadelphia and Bluemercury is top notch. Normally I only trust my esthetician at the bluemercury in Chicago, but I thought I would give the philly location another chance a few weeks ago. I had Kelly do my waxing which included full leg and the dreaded brazillian. I had called ahead to make sure she would use the blue wax which is harder, and less painful than regular wax. The esthitician I had a few years ago refused to use it and did a very painful job on my waxing. Anyway Kelly called me right back to confirm that she would indeed use any wax I preferred. I made my appointment and went in to see her a week later.

The wax was painless and quick. Kelly is very friendly and put me at ease right away. We talked the whole time and the appointment flew by. At the end she even gave me hot towels and extra lotion to make sure that there was no wax left behind. "Nobody leaves my session sticky" she told me. Afterward, when I went to pay, the salespeople were friendly and courteous. I have to say, I had a true spa experience.

Most spas treat waxing clients with less respect than those getting other services done. One local spa which I shall not name, comes specifically to mind. Not at bluemercury. You get the spa treatment no matter what you order. My advice to anyone visiting bluemercury is to request Kelly. Also, no matter what city you are in, if there is a bluemercury around, see them first for your spa needs. They won't disappoint.

Unbelievable spa service!

Kelly did my brazilian. I have issues w ingrowns and she educated me on after care and my ingrown hairs are dissappearing! She's makes an uncomfortable wax comfortable! Great job, quick and easy!

BEST FACIAL, BY MS. JAE BARNES

"BEST FACIAL" I've every had and I have had many in my life time. Nothing was missed I did not received a fuffy facial. (A message facial) I received what a facial is ..... face treatment .... I did not feel rushed in an out... like most places. ;( she told me what I should and should not be doing to my face. I felt like I was at the doctors office. she new her stuff. My face went in looking dry and dull. When I was done my face looked beautiful even my husband and friends notice. When we had dinner 30mins after I left " MS. JAE BARNES" . I felt wonderful I will be seeing " MS. JAE BARNES " often. By the way it was my first time in the spa. I always shop their but , I now will be doing all of my spa service done by Jae Barnes. By the way I got waxing done also by jae. My brows, lips, legs and so on alot of waxing done was not pain full at all.

BRAZILLIAN WAS AWESOME!!!!!! FACIAL WASSSSS AWESOME!!!!!

Absolute Worst Customer Service Anywhere EVER

Worst customer service I have ever encountered ANYWHERE in my life. I am a cosmetic junkie who regularly spends thousands a year - this place offers a great selection but, after my experiences there, I will not set foot in this salon.

Beware. Better customer service at Macy's. Better prices on eBay.

Philadelphia Find

I travel 300 miles twice a year to Bluemercury in Philadelphia.. If you have not tried it you must. The consultants are gracious, skilled and helpful. I have a makeover and pleasant conversation and leave feeling pampered and wonderfully attractive. I am over 50 and a size 10. This has never changed the warm reception and the kind ,knowledgeable as well as immediate attention. I do not consider Bluemercury to be a shop for browsing, if you are not skilled in knowing what can enhance your look then it is the most wonderful place for solid suggestions. Do I spend money, of course. I also receive a magnificent array of samples for both my husband and myself. We look forward to seeing Joe and Rose in the spring. I think I will indulge in a facial!

You were so right !!!! About Jae Barnes her waxing is so awesome my Brazilian painless I was done with in 15mins. She made me feel very comfortable. Also she is the brow doctor they look awesome. She a bit of a neat control (smile) I like that.

Great Products, Rude Salespeople

The reason I keep coming back here is because Bluemercury carries the hip new makeup and standby luxury skincare brands.

But their salespeople are AWFUL.

I rarely log on to write a bad review and must admit that I thought other people were exaggerating on here...until I went and saw for myself. They're like a bunch of rude pirhanas, following you around the store as if you're going to steal something (even if you go in well-dressed & with expensive handbag!). I don't know if they work on commission or what, but you feel like you can't even try a lip gloss or squirt of perfume without them saying "Shall I wrap that for you?" while they look you up and down.

SO strange - because the Bluemercury in Princeton, NJ is amazing!! I think it's just this particular store that has the sucky salespeople...lucky Philadelphia.
