I've been reading a few of there reviews and I really have to jump to save Jaipur! I've been going to this restaurant for about 2 two years now and I had to take the time to write this review. I actually talked the owner about the reviews on this site and he was very open to talk about it. He said that his buffet for lunch had been an issue with trying to price it and with some people literally taking 4 -5 plates of food. As a result of those few cheap people, he was losing alot of money. Apparently, for a while the staff got out of hand with making rules to stop these few people but that's not the case anymore. I pasted my yahoo review below. I urge you to go check out other review sites and you'll see more positive reviews. Service: The host/owner is a saint of a man. It's not uncommon for him to give his customers free desert or some other treat. He and his sons that help out there take alot of care into making sure the customer is happy. I don't think I've ever had to wait either. I do try to make reservations now and again on the weekend. It's very cute how they make cards with the name of the reservation and put it on the table "Reserved for Mr. McCumber". That's a very nice touch. Food: Awesome. I've traveled to at least 15 cities in the US and ate Indian. This is in the top two and maybe number 1. I try to stick to the Chicken TIkka, Tikka Masala (the curry version), and anything they do on their tandoor oven. It's so unlike any other food! Spicy, mild - I like both and they always cater as long as you tell them. Atmosphere - it's not over the top, but it's also not a bare place. indian tapestries line the walls, soft authentic music plays in the background, and the place never has the busy hub-bub feel that some places have. I really have to recommend this place big time.

Pros: Best Chicken Tikka Masala in the City, Wonderful Host

Cons: A few dishes are not up to par with the others,

My favorite Indian Restaurant was closed and my friend insisted on Indian food so we ended up at Jaipur. I wasnt the biggest fan of this place. The food did not taste fresh, and their service was okay. My friends asked for her food to be VERY mild and they still made is pretty spicy. I dont think I will end up there again.

Pros: close to the king of prussia mall. the hours

Cons: overall mediocre

Perhaps the negative reviews here are for lunchtime. Personally, I'm not a fan of buffets and haven't eaten here for lunch but I can tell you about our dinner experiences. FANTASTIC! Wonderful, polite service. Delicious food. Every time. I have to agree with the original poster. If you go for dinner, you won't be disappointed.

Pros: Good parking, Great service, great food

When I walked in I was "greeted" with a much too strong incense smell. It was present throughout the meal and it made it very difficult to taste my food. I felt like I was eating incense. Further, the servers are rude. At the buffet one of the servers grabbed something out of my hand! Also, there are signs posted everywhere about how you will be charged extra if you waste food (a $2.00 charge) or if you use a bowl that is only to be used for fruit (a $1.00 charge). All of the above contributes to a generally unpleasant setting. To be fair, the food is okay but I've had much better food for the same (or less) in a much more pleasant setting.

Cons: rude staff

This place has a pathetic attitude towards its customers! If they had it their way, they would charge you for every damn thing... spoon, fork, etc.. Not only were we refused additional bowls rudely by the waiter, but also were charged for the buffet that we had barely got started with! I havent come across any other restaurant run by such unethical people. Bottom line.. all they care about is making their money... retaining their customers is a concept unheard of! I am not the kind of person who likes to give negative reviews for the kicks of it! No matter how good the food is, but its the customer service which eventually matters. I think I have more than expressed my opinion about this restaurant. ..its up to you to decide whether to consider or disregard it before visiting this place again.

The new Hyderabadi rice dish with lamb is outstanding. Wonderfully complex, fruity, spicy.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The best Indian food in or out of Philadelphia. The variety of dishes offered, the quality of food, and the gracious owners will make your visit one to remember and one which you will want to repeat. I have eaten here many times and never once been disappointed. Try the Chicken Curry, or Goa Fish Cuury, throw in a Samosa, and an order of Ali Gobi and Nan, and the evening is set.

Pros: Top quality food, Great atmosphere, Food variety
