Poor customer service
by tribecagirl8
When I called to see if I could arrange what would have been a $100 order plus delivery for my sister's birthday, the man on the phone was extremely rude and condescending. If you own a business and if you can't accommodate someone's order, you might want to think that maybe if you're nice to them, they will call back and order another time. Maybe I'm just used to New York City service, (and I get FANTASTIC service at Mille Fiori) but I will never call this place back again. Talk about a poor business plan!
- Pros: none because they wouldn't take my order and were rude while not taking it
- Cons: rude, curt, and condescending
Chartreuse - The best flower shop in Philadelhia....The freshest flowers and the most creative designs.
by phillymade
By far this is the best flower shop in Philly. Not only am I able to get beautiful and creative fresh floral arrangements, I can by great gifts for myself and my friends. They specialize in home accessories that are unique. Considering these items are all imported from Europe, price points are reasonable. I have used these guys to do my wedding and they also do the flowers at our corporate office. Words cannot describe how spectacular their work is and how special they made our wedding day. The attention to detail and the creative designs left my guests in awe. I would fully recommend Chartreuse for all your floral, gift, and event needs.
- Pros: Fresh flowers, creative designs, unique gifts, friendly and knowledgeable staff
- Cons: Only one location at 12th and Spruce
Brightly hued shop on Spruce Street specializes in designs as fresh as its flowers.

In Short
Chartreuse has an eclectic selection of flowers, stylish accessories and of course, the eponymously colored walls. Staff can provide sedate bouquets, but they really bloom when it comes to creating personalized arrangements with a contemporary twist. They like to work closely with customers to provide unique designs. The owners were in the party-planning business for 10 years before opening the store, so big events are no problem.
Philadelphia's Best Flower and Gift Shop
by Phillyshopper
When I buy my flowers at Chartreuse they last forever. It's a little more expensive than the places on South Street, but the quality and service are far superior. The staff works within my budget and has come through for me several times when I needed a fabulous custom arrangement in a pinch for a last minute dinner party. Whenever I need a gift, Chartreuse pulls through for me as well. They have an ever-changing selection of home accessories that fit every budget and style. I even do much of my holiday shopping there. I recommended them for my sister's wedding and they did an excellent job of creating personal flowers as well as centerpieces that were creative and elegant. The staff is friendly, organized and knows how to give personalized service. Philadelphia is fortunate to have such a wonderful flower and gift shop that stands out among the rest.
- Pros: excellent quality, stylish home accents, expert service
- Cons: only one location
