Wines, food everything was outstanding. The guest in this tiny dining room were licking the plates (one did litterally). The wine list is short but I couldn't decide. From the 1st course to dessert we were stunned!. We heard that lunch is also amazing! Stay tune

Pros: Paris Paris

Cons: no strollers

When I heard it was owned by the same people as Caribou Cafe, I had to give a try. Succulent is the food! Lunch is a must do with colleagues and dinner with friends. Their wine selection is..........someone must know about wines back there! Typical bistro you'd find in Paris, without paying all that euro>>>

Pros: food and wine value

Cons: too select for kids

My husband and I popped into this adorible restaurant for lunch the other day. We love seafood, and the two entrees we had were amazing. I'll get to them in a minute. We started with the tuna and salmon carpaccio, an appetizer, definitely enough for two to share. A great amount of high quality fish for heavy duty sashimi fans. We also shared the house salad, which was dressed to perfection. Now onto the entrees. I ordered the butterfish, which comes wrapped in grape leaves with a peppercorn sauce. Exquisite. My husband ordered the special of the day, swordfish in a mussel saffron au jus. Also exquisite. We're definitely going back, to try their everyday steak frites. Another table ordered it, and the aroma was amazing. We loved our server, she made us feel really welcome. We'll be back for dinner too.

Pros: outstanding food and really thoughtful service

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city! It is perfect for a nice romantic evening, since it is small, intimate and candlelit. And, it's a BYOB, making it even better! Recently I had a steamed shellfish dish that was wonderful - not only in taste (it was accented with a delicious tomato-based sauce), but also in presentation (the shellfish are just beautiful in all shapes, colors and sizes). Note that the prices are a little more on the expensive side, and do not expect heaping plates full of food (yuck! Who wants to over-stuff themselves during a nice meal anyways?!?). A dinner for two will likely cost over $100 if electing to select from all three courses....but it is well worth it for a delicious evening!

Pros: Great seafood, BYOB, romantic

Cons: A little expensive, sitting close enough to overhear your neighbor's conversation well!

I was surprised to see the restaurant empty at 8:30pm, but fortunately that didn't discourage my guest and me. We each ordered a fish entree, St. Pierre in Beurre Rouge and Tuna in another tasty sauce. As it was empty till that point the entrees came out far too quickly. However, they were delicious and the pace slowed much and the restaurant got busier from there. Even with more patrons it was never noisy inside. For dessert the cheese plate was also very generous, with chevre, camembert, figs, brie, and a frisee salad. Recommended for dates or even for groups.

Pros: Not too crowded, Great Food, Friendly Staff

Cons: None

My wife and I have been going to La Boheme for the last two years and have seen many changes. Yet it remains our favorite place to dine in Philadelphia. The atmosphere is dark and romantic, the service has always been excellent. We have never had any complaints about the food it has always been wonderful. The menu changes daily so you have a new experince each time you visit. On our last visit we had a nice conversation with the new chef. I have read the last couple reviews and cant see why they are not very good.

Pros: Romantic, Great food

Cons: Parking

Overpriced, extremely small portions, and bread presented as if special yet no better than some bought at Acme. Below average service - when asked if he could divide the check he said no since he just put it into the system. You mean to tell me you charge $28 per plate and can't change something in the "system"? Lazy. Food was tasteless.

Portions insultingly small, particularly the salad. Salmon presented as two luke-warm postage-stamp sized square pieces, served upside down (skin on top). Noise level was incredibly high, requiring us to shout across the table in order to carry on a conversation. Bread was served as if something special, but really quite ordinary. Prices outrageous for the amount of food delivered. A terrible and expensive experience. Never again!

Cons: High price, Extremely noisy, Tiny portions

I went to this restaurant with 9 of my friends and had the worst meal of any place in Philadelphia. The service was so slow that the table couldn't even enjoy the conversation because we were all so hungry. Then, when the food finally arrived half of the table's food was cold. The waiter then returned the entrees to the kitchen and everyone's meal that was reheated was overcooked. The management was then rude when we nicely mentioned the fact! On top of that, the desserts were horrible! The crepes were like baby food filled plastic and the creme brulee was burnt with NO consistency. I would NEVER return here. Beware if you decide on this "restaurant."

Cons: Slow Service, Poor management, Bad Chef
