Great cuban food, cool restaurant

I recommend getting the "15 item tasting menu" if available. It's a great way to sample so many different things. My bf and I were visiting from out of town and came here on a Sunday. I've never had cuban food like this before. MMMMM. Really good flavors. That mango butter is to die for. haha.

The service is great, the restaurant decor is cool too.

Great drinks...great food & atmosphere and great lighting. Perfect for the special date. Although sometimes crowded on the weekend it is worht the short wait !

Great Memories

This place is amazing - I have been there several times and it just makes for a great night out. The mojitos are the best I have ever had and depending on who you are with, it could be very romantic or really crazy fun.

Cuba Libre in Phila below average

My Husband and I dine at some of the best resturants in the tri state area, Cuba Libre is not one of them. Appitizers were good, Entrees, awful in a word. We never mind a costly dinner, be cause you pay for what you get, not this time. Service was just ok, quality of the food was below average prices not so. If only the food could match the atmosphere. Definitly not a second visit!

Over priced food for the quality. Not a good environment for Romantic dates.

I went to this place with my girlfriend looking for a good cuban meal. The quality of the food was mediocre. The environment is decent but not honest. Looks like a Hollywood parody of Havana.

If you are looking for romantic night and good cuban food don't go to Cuba Libre. If you are looking for a bar and dancing just go there after 10 PM and don't dine.

Good food and drinks. Definately not group friendly!

I'm a regualar at Cuba Libre. They have excellent food and drinks. Naturally, I reccomended Cuba w/o hesitation for my friends birthday. Unfortuntely after our experience I was embarrassed for suggesting it. We had a party of 6 and were seated by the kitchen entrance and restrooms. There were constant smoking skillets passed above our heads and drunk patrons fell on us waiting for the restrooms. This definately affected our celebratory mood. If we had seen any other available seating I would have inquired to be moved.I had specified when making my reservation we were celebrating a birthday. I was suprised they hadn't sent over a complimentary dessert of some kind. While paying our bill someone finally come over with a "dessert" to my relief. But, to our dismay it was a plate with whipcream and a candle! Seriously? I informed management of my experience. She only advised me to specify seating next time because they really dont have much seating for 6 or more.There won't be a next time

Great food, great service

I went to this place for the first time last week. This place is very nice inside. Very nice decoration. The service was great. We got seated right away. Must make reservation at least a week early. Food is great. If you don't know what to order just ask they will explain everything in the menu for you. Try grilled pineapple mojito. its amazing. This place can be very expensive so try to go during the restaurant week. I would definitely go back again

Pushy!

The staff here... what is their problem?? I have only been here at night while they were functioning as a club. I remember being ignored by the bartender, even when he'd seen me try to get his attention and wasn't serving anyone else. The bouncers walking around were pretty obnoxious too. It felt like they were constantly telling me and my boyfriend that we couldn't stand places, and we had to move, and they were just very controlling and pushy. Then as soon as 2AM came, it was "everyone get out immediately, no you can't wait inside." It was December at the time, and freezing outside. The music and dancing is pretty good if you manage to not let the staff get to you. Drinks are expensive.

Disappointing

I first went to Cuba Libre in Atlantic city and it was absolutely amazing! My friend and I wanted to go to a fun place to eat and drink and I thought Cuba Libre would be a great pick! I was wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!! The appetizer was decent but the entrees were disappointing especially for how much they were priced!!!!!!!!!!! The rice tasted like take out chinese rice and both our entrees were barely mediocre and plain.They need some advice from their Atlantic city restaurant. It was also interesting because we noticed a group kept on complaining to the manager and it seemed they ended up leaving without paying the bill and eating their food. However, The atmosphere was cool and they did have late night dancing.

• Cons: Bad food for how much it cost- over priced
