service good; food not so much. We ate at Fado a couple of months ago, and probably wouldn't go back to eat. The food was waaaay too salty. Tasted pretty bad. We would, however, go back for drinks and to watch a game. Nice atmosphere, but eat elsewhere.

It was ok. I read the menu as I pass by it daily, decided happy hour would be a good time to try it out...... pub food was good - I would have liked to have eaten more....beer was good too - decent pricing. as I have encountered in several center-city pubs, the service was pretty bad. We couldn't get drink refills on a friday night at 7pm (the place was not really busy) to save our *lives*...we waited 15 minutes to find the waiter for a drink refill....then seriously -- after we found him to ask for the bill - we waited another 10. I hope he enjoyed his lack of tip. sorry - but he deserved the 10% he got. It wasn't busy and he was no where to be found....

LOVE Fado- Awesome Irish Pub in Philly!. Having visited Ireland twice in my life, Fado is the most authentic pub I have been to in the US. The food is awesome, and it's a PERFECT spot for Happy hour. Great beers on draft and fun place for a big group- the service the last time my office had a big happy hour was great.......

Highly recommed Fado in Philly!

Fado. I too was a member of the party of 8 who attempted to have a nice chatty dinner after the theatre on Sunday with Marci229. One of our favorite places and for the second time in a row we had a terrible experience. I will say however that I do not believe the waitress was at fault. She was very kind and pleasant when we first arrived to find that there would be only 2 menus to share among 8 of us. And she did scramble to find us candles when she observed us trying to read the menus with cigarette lighters.

My clear indication with regard to Fado is that this center city eatery had little or no interest in attending to it's customers and it was very obvious when our table ordred a few hamburgers and other meals which included fries because at about that same time the person in charge was heard to say "watch one of them will want ketchup." Knowing full well she didn't have any ketchup in the building. Before she eventually left to BUY ketchup after the hamburgers were too cold to eat she then felt the perverse need to lecture us on the proper way to treat a waitress... Because a person of her caliber -mind you -is used to "PEOPLE LIKE US"...

Can you Imagine???!!! I've been around for a LOT of years and I've never experienced DRAMA /RUDENESS like this anywhere.. VERY Unpleasant Experience. Won't Ever Go Back To Fado!

Terrible service. We've gone to Fado a lot over the years. The last two visits have been terrible. We gave them a second chance because we've always enjoyed going there--but we won't be giving them another shot. This time, they delivered our burgers with no ketchup. When we asked for it, we heard someone in the back say, "I knew someone would ask for ketchup." After 15 minutes, we inquired again and our waitress had a meltdown and starting saying she was just the messenger and it wasn't her fault. Apparently, they had to go out and buy ketchup. The manager left and came back with it--but not before chastising us for "verbally abusing" her waitress--who apparently was in the back crying. We, at no point, personally attacked the waitress, just asked where our ketchup was. At no point did the manager apologize for having us wait 30 minutes for our ketchup--as our burgers sat in front of us and everyone in our party had finished. The manager did take 20 percent off our tab--but not for the ketchup. In her words, she took that off because they didn't have an appetizer we liked. Really terrible service. Go somewhere else.

Fun pub for dancing. I'm a big fan of Fado on weekend nights. It's quite large and set up nicely so that you can have a few drinks with friends at a table, stand around the bar, or dance on the smallish dance floor at the one end. The music they play is really good for dancing: classics, 80s, current hip hop... a good mix that my friends and I, who don't like clubs but like to dance, enjoy. As far as Irish pubs go it's pretty standard and chain-like, and the drinks aren't super-cheap, but it's a fun place to spend a Saturday night.

Phenomenal Staff - Incredible Pub Experience. We like to eat out often in Center City and had never been to Fado before. The staff made us feel like had been coming there for years. Our server was Danielle who was relaxed yet proficient. She sat down with us to take our order and we had a little conversation. I told her that we had recently become engaged and she responded with the enthusiasm I would expect from a long time friend. She was quick to suggest a few of her favorite items on the menu - of which I ordered the Cheese Dip as an appetizer(with the Pico de Gallo on the side) and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich - my fiance got the Barbecue Chicken Sandwich. All items were delicious and the portions were perfect. I still had enough room for a Guinness, which was on special! I will definitely be returning to Fado again due to the friendliness of the staff. Danielle even said hello to us two days later when we happened to walk past. haha We are now myspace friends.

Don't Bother. Crowded, Hot (the AC was broken), poor service, and cheezy atmosphere. It feels like the chain restaurant of Irish pubs (which apparently it is a chain). The quizzo was horrible - if you want quiz questions taken straight from the pages of US Weekly, this is the quizzo for you. This was our third time at the place, and we will not be back.

Good bar and hang out spot with your friends. When you're in the mood to hang out for a casual evening with a good sized group of friends on a random Friday night or after work, this is one of the places to be. The layout of this spot provides a little privacy in some sections. There's your good, straightforward pub/bar food and some British/Irish dishes - don't expect fine dining here.

good place to hangout with large group of people. Food is good. I went to Fado with 6 of my friends and we dont have to worry about space. The place is divided in to section so we have some privacy. Great beer selection, little bit expensive.
