Electric TweezersU. S. federal trade commission has forbidden the manufacturers of electric tweezers from claiming that this method could result in permanent hair removal.
TweezingA temporary method that often causes hair to grow in thicker & darker. A habit that might begin w/ plucking a few hairs a week can rapidly become a daily ten-minute ritual. Tweezing also encourages ingrown hairs, making the hair more difficult to treat.
WaxingA temporary method. Like tweezing, hair can begin to grow in thicker & darker. If waxing more often than every ten days, try electrolysis to eliminate the hair permanently.
LaserThe FDA has restricted laser manufacturers from making any claims of permanent hair removal. Certain laser manufacturers can only claim permanent reduction for up to three months. Studies show that results are no more effective than either waxing or plucking. Can also also damage skin w/ higher melanin or be ineffective on dark hair.
DepilatoriesCan be caustic to the skin. Like tweezing & waxing, it is a temporary method & the hair will continue to grow.
