Fine dining?

Fine dining anyone? I should have read the reviews before going to this place. The fact that it's close to home and I pass the place everyday, We gave it a try. The hostess was nice but our server was more interested in shoving the chef's special than serving us. She never came back after we finished our course to ask for dessert. The quality of the seafood that we had was terrible! I can tell the mahi-mahi wasn't fresh because we catch them and eat them! The calamari was too salty as well as the fruit de mer. I mean how can you charge $31 for a few clams, mussels, 4 shirmps, 3 scallops, a small piece of salmon and a mystery fish? It seemed that this place have some good following, I don't know. The only thing I know is that for the price and food quality, It's not worth it!
Best for when you are looking to impress!

If you are looking for a sit down restaurant that you need to make reservations for so that you can impress friends or co-workers than Creed's is your place.
The upscale environment is paired with their upscale menu selections and extensive wine list. The food is excellent.
Staff are very friendly, without being annoying. They remember your name from one visit to the next.
Dinner can be a bit pricey, but worth the price for taste and quality.
Leave the kids at home, this place won't be up their ally.
Friday and Saturday nights there is live acustical music in the bar area.
Parking and the bar area can be tight if you don't get there early. Reservations a must for dinner.
Dress to impress as most patrons are from the executive crowd coming directly from work.
World's BEST Calamari: I am not lying!
by Zig at Citysearch
I've loved Creeds for years but have to admit that it's all about the Calamari for me: No one can touch it, either locally or internationally in my experience. You pretty much will dream about any of their offered appetizers for weeks after your visit. I have never had a bad meal there; steaks and seafood are consistently great (never ordered lobster tail there so cannot speak to the previous surveyor's opinion, but in my opinion the only good way to eat lobster is whole fresh Maine Lobster, not some frozen South Africal tail!) and the staff is attentive, the bar is nice.
Fantastic tasting food

My wife and I have been to Creed's twice now and both times all the food was excellent. The appetizers (Try the lobster bisque and French Onion Soups), the entrees have been well portioned and very tasty, and we've only tried the cheesecake because it was so amazing we got it both times. Most prices are in the $30 range, so it's not cheap, but it's worth a splurge every now and then. The only downside can be where you sit, some tables are off to the side and seem more private but some 2 person tables are position relatively close to other 2 person tables. And when it's crowded it can get loud (we happened to be sitting next to a table of 8 or so). But I wouldn't let this deter me from going back again. The food and service are so good, I would recommend to try it out for yourself.
- Pros: Great Food, top notch service
- Cons: Some tables are close, can get loud
Lobster Tail was tasteless!
by juliemonge at Citysearch
This was the first time to this resturant for both my husband and me. We went expecting excellent seafood given the reviews but were both very dissappointed. We both ordered the lobster tail which was severely overpriced given that it was completely tastless. It was the worst lobster tail I have had and was $56! I am giving the place 3 stars however as the service and atmosphere were both very nice. I suppose we may try it again, but certainly won't order the lobster!
- Pros: Atmosphere
- Cons: Food quality
