Owner says one price then up charges later. My wife and I decided to do a lunch for the family and chose Peppers because we were sold that the owner (Sal) could deliver a nice meal. We were quoted one estimated price for the lunch for an estimated amount of people. The total number of people to be confirmed later. He said there was no charge for the children (not true, he charged anyway). We confirmed earlier in the week with Sal that we would have 18 adults for lunch they charged for 22 including the kids. While the staff was nice and accommodating they got the order wrong. We'll never be showing up there again.
Crappy Italian Food.
Always a table available, and now I see why. The food just isn't that great. I could make better Italian food. The pricing isn't bad.
Fun at the bar on Quizzo nights though.
Great food and service. i was treated really well at Peppers. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. I will eat there again.
Nice family place, good food.
I had the eggplant parmesan. It was served on a bed of spaghetti with their red sauce (marinara or tomato sauce, not sure). Lots of cheese, lots of pasta, not very much eggplant. Tasted good, but not great. Would have liked to taste more depth of flavor in the sauce. Table had the "usual" shaker of parmesan cheese which was the cheap powdery variety with little flavor. Red wine I ordered by the glass was warm... like 80 degrees -- while I don't expect chilled, I don't expect it to feel almost warm in the mouth. The A/C was just fine, chilly even so it seems maybe they stash the bottle near some warm equipment??
The sauteed green pepper appetizer (comes with the meal automatically, I think our waitress said) was very good - it is dressed in oil, vinegar, garlic. Good for eating on bread and dunking bread in the bowl to get the last bit of sauce.
Atmosphere has a nice "family" feel and was conducive to conversation although our waitress lacked a sense of timing and always seemed to be interrupting without a polite pause.
