Piano Tuning Letdown. I called to schedule a piano tuning and Tom said it would be $110. Steve Prentice came to my house, very nice guy, but proceeds to tell me that if I want it to be tuned correctly to A440 pitch standard, that he would have to tune it twice and it would cost $180. If I had been informed ahead of time, I would not be upset, but this seems like misrepresentation. I told Steve that if it was not going to be tuned correctly, then I did not wish to proceed. After he left, I called Tom and he admitted that he should have told me this and that it was his fault. Only after explaining to him that when a business makes a mistake, they should make good on it, then he finally offered to do the complete tuning to A440 for the original price. While I appreciate the offer, they have already wasted my time and I would prefer to schedule with a more honest and forthcoming business.…
