I H8 TACKY AND RUDE!!!.
Don't waste your time, money and gas. These people are rude, the inventory is garbage and low quality and the whole atmosphere is tacky beyond!
With some decent consignment shops around (Christine's in West Chester for instance) there is virtually NO NEED TO PATRONIZE THIS DUMP! It is dirty and smells musty, they have their junk lining the sidewalks and it is not a nice experience to go here.
Pros: none
Cons: Owner rude, nasty and cheap clothes, dirty store...etc.…
Not worth your time- owner is abrassive..
DO NOT consign here. I have consigned on two occassions. The first time it was okay and they took all of my childrens clothing. The second time, they were very picky and were also picky with my adult
clothing, which was mostly Jcrew, Gap, and even some CABI stuff. I had an LLBean fleece that was in really good condition and she refused to take it. As she was refusing all of my stuff I walked around in there and found that she had things that were from Target and other cheap places, and her stuff looked as old or worse than the things that she was refusing to sell of my mine. Yes, there are on occassion some prada and gucci things. There are often lily pulitzer things. And sometimes there are theory items but on the whole she doesn't have much there.
She is rude and very abrassive. It is not appreciated. I also found that both times, I had to literally chase her down to provide me with my checks. The whole store is very disorganized and not very upscale. She charges a 20 dollar fee to sell things and then can't even send you your check in the mail. I don't understand. Both times I had to call and call to get my check, you have to pick it up in person and for some reason she is never available to pay you. One of the 10 times I called, she was in Las Vegas and no one knew when she was returning !!!!
Not very proffessional if you ask me. I will not be going in again, and I have thought about calling the better business bureau...…
Save your time and money - don't go here. I have been in this store a few times to check out the merchandise and I tend to find what they have to be overpriced for used clothing. It seems you find better deals at the mall when items are on sale or you have a coupon. On my last (and final) trip to the store a few weeks ago, I had the displeasure of encountering the owner. She was abrasive, rude to her employees, indifferent to her customers and completely lacks any sense of tact. Even if you find the occasional good deal on designer items, I'd rather not have my money go towards this narcissistic woman and her inflated sense of self-importance. For future second-hand buys, I'll just head straight to the Palm Tree right up the street and I advise you do the same.…
Better than the Mall!. Love the combination of merchandise they have like Prada shoes, Gucci pants, and Juicy bags, plus cute things from Lilly Pulitzer, BCBG, Banana Republic, etc. Shop has great selection of Anthropologie, too. Lots of items have the original price tag on them. It saves a trip to a bunch of stores at the mall…and it saves money!…
NOT WORTH GOING TO. We worked with consignment shops for many years within the local community. Maria Fe was an excellent shop for many years. HOWEVER, the "new" owner has perverted consignment shops rules to an extreme. Checks are no longer sent when something is sold, no listing of what was actually sold, No customer service, all has been replaced with LOUD, RUDE behavior in what was once a lovely place to shop.…
