Bad food experience. I took my wife again to the Classic Dinner. I did not know what I was expecting to happen as far as the taste of the food. I do however know the place has not changed and it gotten worse. For example I told the waiter the food was bad instead of the waiter bring the manager over to the table where I was sitting instead he brought the check. If anyone read these comments I strongly suggest you avoid this place and find somewhere else to go

Lousy Food!!. The place is really small, can't walk between tables without bumping into each other,and had to wear coat to stay warm. We went for breakfast the patoes and bacon were burnt, & bread stale, don't mind paying $23 for food if it's good but this is over priced and not fit to eat. My husband told waitress the food was burnt, but she didn't say anything. I told waitress about food before we left and she got snooty.

Best Restaurant in Philly!. My husband & I are Classic "regulars" - and the reviewer who said the service is lousy doesn't know what he/she is talking about! From the owner down to the bussers, the staff if warm, friendly, and attentive. Our coffee (best in Philly!) is refilled regularly. Both Breakfast & Lunch are superior in taste and creativity. The Eggs Benedict can't be beat (and we've tried!), omelettes are fabulous, pancakes with fruit (fresh, not that canned junk) are wonderful, and the oatmeal with pears & dried currents are even superior! Lunches - salads are fantastic (the vinegrette is so fresh & tasty), turkey burger is the best ANYWHERE, and the turkey club is wonderful too. You can't go wrong with the Classic Diner!

BEST BRUNCH IN THE TRISTATE AREA. Classic Diner is the best. From mixed green salad with a side of lobster or crab to eggs benedict you can not go wrong. There is something on the menu for everyone. The parking lot does fill up but we never seem to have a problem. It is definetly worth the sometimes long wait.

I wish they were open for dinner.

hott servers. I love the classsic diner...seeing my favorite girls there every weekend makes my heart melt..i love the larkin girl and the great food.

One of my Favorites. My husband I try to make it there every weekend for an absolutely wonderful breakfast feast. I don't think I have ever ordered lunch although I hear it good because the breakfasts are phenomenal. The service is great, food is served promptly especially during the week. A real treat.

Tasty food, horrible service. While breakfast is unquestionably delicious at this local favorite, having it thrown at you by servers with an attitude really leaves a bad taste in your mouth! We've come back here several times in spite of the "I'm doing you a favor by being here" style service because of the delicious food and superior coffee. But our most recent visit made us realize that good food isn't the only reason to enjoy a meal out. I think our last meal here really will be our last meal. Pitty!

Breakfast Heaven. Best Coffee in Chester County and the eggs benedict will knock your socks off. For lunch, the turkey club is a superstar- just be prepaired to take a doggie bag as portions are huge.
