What a Find!!.
Wandered into So. Philly looking for something different and boy did I find it! My girlfriend and I ate at Criniti's Restaurant on So. Broad Street for the first time and it was wonderful. I can't believe I've driven by it a million times going to a game and never stopped. We were seated right away and before we could finish looking at the menu, we were given fresh bread and some sort of marinated mushrooms that were the best I've ever had. We ordered brick oven pizza as an appetizer and I wasn't allowed to eat more that 2 slices. My girlfriend actually threatened me!! Then came our dinners (Flounder for me and Veal for her). We didn't have room for dessert, but we took home 2 cannoli's and had them the next morning. Everything was top notch. We go out to eat a lot and we came away from Criniti's 110% satisfied. It doesn't get any better than this.

Nightmare on Broad Street.
Chicken Perugina was so dry as to be inedible. Chicken Marsala (chunks of chicken) was strictly average. Calamari probably frozen with canned diced tomatoes(unspiced) as the dipping sauce. My advice, if you decide to give the place a try, is to stick with the pasta dishes, and good luck.

Best in Philly.
Had dinner at Criniti's for the millionth time...great as always. The old place was nice, but the new place is COOL! The people that work there really know what they're doing. My family and I have been going for over 12 years and it's one of the only places that's always consistent. I just brought some out of town clients to Criniti's and I got them hooked too. Thanks for the great everything!

Best place to go home disappointed..
I really wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The Salmon special was spectacularly bland and underwhelming.....definitely not worth the money. I almost would have preferred Olive Garden. The wait was too long for both the food and seating. At least our server was nice.

GREAT food...however.....
My boyfriend took me there for Valentine's Day. I gotta admit, the food there was AMAZING. The menu though is very limited. And the seating...NOT good at all. We were so close to the people next to us, we could hear their whole conversation. Again, great food....tight seating.

South Philly Italian that's as anti-scene as it gets..
In Short
Dinner begins with doughy homemade Italian bread and complimentary mushrooms bathed in olive oil, then onto simple appetizers--great broccoli rabe-and then homecooked classics like chicken marsala or mussels red, served with minestrone soup or basic salad. Don't fill up: Entrees are generously portioned and very filling. Go for classics like hefty veal Saltimbocca, simple, satisfying lasagna, or a big plate of tortellini in a super-creamy alfredo sauce.

Get your money's worth.
Full menu, plenty of specials, generous portions, great service....and the food is excellent! South Philly has quite a few great little spots and this is one of them. It may be a tight fit here, but that's part of it's charm.

AWESOME FOOD! GREAT PEOPLE!.
Just like going home to mamma's for dinner, you'ff feel comfortable from the moment you walk through the door. The entire staff is freindly and out going, especially the owner, who is determined to ensure that everything is cared for perfectly. The food is cooked to perfection and the prices are ALWAYS reasonable. It is my favorite place, and worth the drive from Delaware any time!

In my opinion, Criniti's is without question, Philly's best Italian Restaurant. It has the best food, just like mama used to make, you never have to worry about leaving hungry, inexpensive, not to mention the wonderful staff and owner... I wound't eat anywhere else...

Bella.
Good, friendly, like-your Italian Mama used to make at home, meals. But, I would rather you stayed away so I could get a table faster.
