Marra's atmosphere is tough to beat: Above red-vinyl booths hang paintings, photos and wooden cutout letters that spell the establishment's name. With a carafe of house wine on the table, many customers have been known to stay a while as they eat meals of cuisine that is decidedly not nouveau Italian: enormous servings of homemade pasta, mussels, calamari and thin-crust pizza.

This is not authentic Italian cuisine. I am an Italian girl and if they can;t do a simple red sauce right then I dont come back . It is all about the red sauce.

My family and I drove down to Marra's before the Phillies game last night and were treated to exceptional service by Rosa, our waitress. She made us feel like we were back at my grandmother's house -- and the food matched her service! Family-oriented, familar, not stuffy and cozy! I can't wait to come back!

Marra's is a great restaurant. They have wonderful pasta dishes as well as superb brick oven pizza. Their canoli's are out of this world. The best, lightest canoli's I've ever had. You can listen to great old music while you eat (Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra). The service is also wonderful. This is a great place to bring 15 people. It's like a big Italian family get together.

Private rooms are available for parties upstairs, but the metal-legged chairs are not as cozy as the booths downstairs.
