Great unique pizza options at this place! Interesting decor and a great big bar. I love to stop here for lunch when I am in the city!

great food for little buks. I really like their salads (with chicken) and pastas.... less the pizza. But I never went wrong at Pietro's. The staff can be so so, but the place is worth it for a casual dinner.

Please Read. "tell me the pen is still mightier, I am disabled with two handicapped children we went to the spring-fest Sat. May 9th, there was a street fair going on with live music on stage we sat at an outside table when the hostess came to us I asked for a beer and two sodas for the children, I was told I must order from the menu to sit there (the outside by the music) so I stood up the sham was this hostess stared at me with a smile from her little booth inside, what a sad women she must be to enjoy that, the reason I can to Philadelphia was to hear a band for the first time that a friend we knew sang in, so the band had one share which we gave to my son because it was a toss-up on who needed it me most my son or myself, well I am sitting in my hotel room now its midnight in such pain in my legs and lower back, saying I CAME TO PHILADELPHIA THE ... City of Brotherly Love ...GOT BENT OVER and Shown the LOVE alright, but that would not be fair to the many other Philadelphians who would of let my family all sit and enjoy this great city, so if the pen is mightier . PLEASE PASS THIS PLACE BY, SEND A MESSAGE IS WHAT I'M ASKING

Terrible Service. I would most definitely not recommend this restaurant. Never have a been treated so poorly for no apparent reason. When I tried to call and make a reservation, the host proceeded to hang up on me claiming they were too busy. When I finally arrived, I had to wait a very long time even though I had a reservation. I will never go there again.

Yummy italian. my boyfriend and i discovered the place last year when we moved here and have not stopped eating there since. I love their salads- they're big and delicious. fresh ingredients and many options. I like the pizza (its not my absolute fav but i do really enjoy it). The service is great and the atmosphere is fun. its good for a family night out or dinner with a group. Not the most romantic spot because its a busy hustle-bustle kind of place but I appreciate that about the atmosphere. people are crowding the place becaues its great! I suggest making a reservation (if they take them), because its a popular place.

FANTASTIC!!!. My husband and I were visiting ol' Navy buddies over the weekend and asked our token Philly-Native what was the best pizza in town...he rightly steered us in this direction. Unfortunately for us, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs...we promptly ate up all the delicious hot-out-of-the-oven bread, dipping it in their infused olive oil...then we ordered mussells and the fried goat cheese, followed by a large pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom pizza. There were 3 of us. I don't know what we were thinking. Everything was so good, we were stuffing ourselves as we were walking out the door! If there's any suggestion I can give, don't eat for a few days before you go! You'll want to consume everything on the menu! Terriffic!!

Great Pizza. I've eaten at both locations, South St. and the one in Center City. I have to say that I have a fondness for South St. The pizza is fantastic. They really do not make pizza like this in the west coast sad to say. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fun and friendly. This is a must try.

Great pizza and atmosphere.... We've always had very good pizza at Pietro's. The crust is nicely charred, the sauce tangy and not sour, the cheese gooey, and with green basil leaves on top, it's one of the better pies in Philly at the moment. The problem lies with the appetizers, including only average calamari and bitter broccoli rabe, as we have yet to find any we like all that much. The service has always been attentive, and the atmosphere is very relaxing here, as it looks like you're outside in Italy. So stick with the pizza and you will have a winner.

More than just pizza. pietro's is a great place to eat for inexpensive, delicious italian. i've personally never tried the pizza. my favorite dish there is the liguini fra diavlo (mussels, clams, shrimp, salmon, calamari). i always ask them to add scallops to mine. also this pietro's is better than the one on walnut st. the meatballs are good as well as the clams di zuppa. i prefer to eat in the bar area where the juke box is.
