I had their chicken cheesesteak lastnight...it was pretty dried and blank (bread got soggy after walking one block); i wouldn't recommend it. However, the cheesesteak was pretty good, and the Spanish fries was addictive.

Often overshadowed by its overrated neighbor, Jim's, Ishkabibbles quietly produces the best cheesesteaks on South Street, without the 1/2 hour wait. Their chicken cheesesteaks are truly unique- they cut chicken into cubes and then marinate it before tossing it onto the grill. This both imparts it with a wonderful flavor and keeps the chicken nice and juicy, unlike the thin frozen slabs typically served as chicken cheesesteaks, which are incredibly dry. While the beef is not quite up to the standard of their chicken, the cheesesteaks are still good, far better than the chewy, pathetic excuse for a steak that you get a Jims. Its a small hole-in-in-the-wall with a garish neon pink and yellow awning. There is barely room to stand inside, and youre lucky if you manage to grab one of the handful of barstools. This is the best chicken cheesesteak in Philly, bar none.
