best eggs benadict ever. they have the best eggs benadict. we were seated promptly and the service was done with more than a smile.

Inexpensive quality. Excellent food, open whenever, good service, and downright cheap... who can complain.. no one makes eggs over easy with italian sausage the way these guys do.. simply the best...

the only thing is that on fri and sat nights everyone coming out of the bars when they close crowd up and block the doors making getting a seat difficult..

They proclaim that they're the city's #2 diner. I think they are far better than any diner in the city, including good ol' melrose

Just Great. Great Food, Great Service, Great Selection of entrees, appetizers, homemade deserts and Great Prices!!

Smokers (who seem to be treated more and more like second hand citizens these days) are accomodated in a large, airy, dining room.

great food!. My boyfriend and I took my parents to the South Street diner for a nice Sunday breakfast. Although a little smoky, our waitress was wonderful and the food was great.

Great breakfast. It had been a long time since I had had a great "diner" breakfast when I ate at the South Street Diner last Sunday morning. It's good to know that diners like that still exist.

A nice place. I have been going to the diner for years. The service is very friendly and I really enjoy their food. It is a nice ending to a walk on south street. I have never had their baked goods but they look good!!
