I don't care how good your gyro or table service is...I went to this diner on friday june 5 and someone whether waitress or manager attempted to add money onto my credit card slip after it had been signed. luckily this was brought to my attention as they needed a new signature for the "new amount." be careful w/ your credit card charge.

Yes, I had the same experience, not only that, the burned me 3 times with extremely hot fettucine and no one offered to apologize. I even went to the hospital. I think they did it on purpose because each time I went there the same thing happened.

No one expects diner food to be exquisite. However, the food at the South Street Diner is pretty good. It is a moderately fancy restaurant, the service is very nice. I have not had any problems there yet. Pros: Decent food Cons: Oddly located. If your at the other end of South Street near Penn's Landing, it would be a good place to go.
