Dark wood, oil paintings and a well-tended bar make this a popular spot for the locals in this Italian neighborhood. Food is an affair here, featuring shrimp-stuffed tomatoes, charbroiled porterhouses and filets mignons, with sides of garlicky escarole, homemade linguine with seafood. Spinach and fontina-filled veal chops and lengthy fillets of bronzino in brown sauce are popular dishse as are the tiramisu and banana Napoleon.

Can't get this place out of my head- and can't wait to go back. Everything was exceptional. Amazing pasta- and I usually don't go out to eat pasta- but this was from another world! Professional, happy staff made it an unexpectadly amazing evening. Just Go.

This is an upscale restaurant. The upstairs is more formal than down. The steaks are excellent and prepared to your likening. The service is always outstanding. The have a lot of fine seafood on the menu to choose from as well. If you don't have American express then you better have cash.

The Saloon has long had the reputation of a fine, upscale Italian restaurant. In fact during lunch, you may often see some of Philly's biggest power players. The food is excellent and the staff professional. The entrees are expensive. This is the perfect restaurant for a special occasion or a important date.

Parking:
Though parking is free in the neighborhood, most patrons prefer to let valets take care of their cars.
