In Short
No-frills decor and waitresses who call everybody "Hon" make sure that the experience is all about the food. Families from the neighborhood fill the room along with suburban stragglers. It's South Philly Italian fare at affordable prices with steamed mussels marinara with just the right amount of garlic. The Villa salad is reminiscent of the old Jimmy's Milan classic, and fried asparagus in butter sauce is as delicious as it sounds.

I have been to Villa over a dozen times and each time it is good, solid Italain food. I recommend this place to everybody and it usually one of my top choices when dining out down the city. Love the Bella Buca.

This restaurant has been around for decades. Mom and Pop are in the kitchen. Good food always. The wait staff is not very attentive though. Italian specialties. Parking a premium.

Im an Italian girl but just wasn't loving it. The red sauce when I went 4 years ago was enough to keep me form staying away. Atleast it was affordable.

Know Before You Go:
Reservations are accepted every night except Saturday nights--the busiest night of the week.
What To Drink:
Remember, this is old-school Bella Vista, not Old City. There's no Vox vodka, no microbrews and there's a very good chance your Chianti or Merlot will be served chilled.
The Extras:
They do an excellent job with big parties of people, even quasi-rowdy bachelor and bachelorette parties. They will create a fixed price menu for you and your gang that won't break the bank.
