Far enough off South Street to avoid (most of) the dummies, O'Neal's is a super-friendly, down-to-earth neighborhood pub that flies its tricolour proudly.
Blue Collar Comedy. We went to this place after reading some good reviews on here and all I can say is that it is a blue collar comedy. The bathrooms are so small you can not turn in them and so gross you better be able to hold your breath a long time. The food all came out dripping in grease and made me feel ill after eating some of it. The most annoying part however is the uneducated staff and patrons who annoy with conversations too loud for the idiotic nature of what they are discussing. We will never be back and if you graduated high school I recommend you avoid this mindless establishment that serves bad food in a dirty environment.
i love going to oneals on sundays. sunday at oneals is the best night to go. they have great cheap wings, three dollar stella drafts and a cute waitress who i loved. huge tvs to watch the game and an awesome fast bartender. im going to go every sunday
SIMPLY THE BEST. O'neal's is simply the best Philly has to offer when it comes to an all-around pub experience. Theer are 15 tv's downstairs, including 2 new plasmas. There are over 100 bottled beers, all available for takeout. The bartenders are some of the best the city knows. The menu is highly upgraded, shifteing from standard pub fare, to a more eclectic blend of cuisines. Perfect location, off South Street, keeps rif-raf at a minimum. Dont miss out, get out and get HERE
Low Brow. This is a very smokey bar with low brow conversations at too high of a shouting level. Good for high school and college kids.
Good specials. Happy Hour every weekday from 430pm to 630pm. Drink specials Sunday to Thursday. OK jukebox, plenty of TVs for games, and good bar food. Nice easy neighborhood atmosphere.
Better Beer, Better Bar. O'Neals is the best sports bar in the city. Bartenders are fantastic and the food is better than average pub fare. Great selection of beer and heavy pour on mixed drinks. Always a great time.
good place to get drunk. i've gone here a few times, it always seemed k,inda dead there, and even then it seemed small with few tables.. not a place i'd consider taking a large group
College Football Mecca. Stumbled on this gem of a pub one Saturday afternoon seeking out a Michigan State game. This is definitely THE PLACE for college football viewing. Every game available. Playful banterings with fans of other schools. Great service. Met a half-dozen people in a couple of hours eager to trade sports commentary and stories. Pints flow freely (with a fantastic draught and bottles list) and cheaply. Ignore any other large sports bar, or South St. haunt and sidle up to O'Neal's! Even if your team doesn't win, you can count on a good time!
Easily the best. 24 years or so of being easily the best, as well as one of the first "Sports Bar" in Philly....enough said.....plus now they have English football as well!
