Philly's best cheesesteak?.
Philly's best cheesesteak? Not likely. That was the claim on the sidewalk chalkboard, but my girlfriend and I both beg to differ. I'm from Providence, RI and I can honestly say I've had better cheesesteak back home. This was my first time in Philly and certainly won't be my last, but I'll look elsewhere the next time I'm searching for a genuine "knock your socks off" cheesesteak. Don't get me wrong, the pub itself is just fine. There's nothing really spectacular, nor horrible about it. It's honestly just another mediocre "faux" Irish pub. The atmosphere in the rear dining area really felt more family-oriented than pub-like. Which may be fine for some, but I like my Irish pubs dark and a bit more .... well ... Irish.
