Editorial Review for Morning Glory – by Maura Johnston

In Short
The Morning Glory's back patio is reserved for those who wish to brave the brunch wait--sometimes through rain and the hot sun. During the week, the crowds are more sparse. Brunch favorites fill the menu with eggs served just scrambled or dressed up in a frittata. A thick stack of filling and hearty pancakes with toppings such as bananas, blueberries or chocolate chips are a perennial favorite.

Unless you have the privilege to be seated under a fan, which i did not, this restaurant is very hot! The food was OK, definitely not horrible but notthing to rave about. The service was fine but I was left unsatisfied and let down by the lack of flavor and creativity of their dishes. However, I have no big complaints about morning glory but I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

Pros: the name is cute.

Cons: the heat and the overall mediocracy

This place was great- the wait is long, but sooo worth it! My party of three brought 2 bottles of champagne on a Saturday at about noon, and we had the best time ever sitting at the counter. We ordered frittatas and the breakfast pizza, and we were very impressed. Large portions, small price, homemade REAL hot chocolate, orange juice to mix mimosas- it was great!! I want to go back immediately.

Pros: BYOB, Brunch, Price

Cons: long wait
