Bummer on all fronts. I was so psyched to see a diner go in to the old abandoned one that sat empty for ever! Balloons, banners, nice neon, etc. all suggested a totally cool place. NOT!

First it was freezing, like keep your jacket and cap on cold.

Next our food was also cold-and undercooked. Baked potatoes that had obviously been cooked partially earlier in the day, and merely warmed (to room temperature the first time) for our meal. I was bummed too cuz my sister came with her kids from the burbs and their food was also undercooked. The turkey burger was adequate, yet all seemed 'off' from timing of meal, to service (our waitress was OBVIOUSLY brand new yet we left 20% as the kitchen was really making her life miserable.

Won't be back until I see several positive ratings on here-avoid it-not worth it AT ALL!

Good bang for your buck. What do you expect, it's diner food and they do it well. The place looks great and is spotlessly clean. The staff is very friendly and the food is plentiful and good. After six years, it's great to see the diner open and it's made a come back in a very big way. Welcome back!

No longer in business. This diner has been closed, as in not open for business, for months as of the first if April, 2008.

Maybe not the best spot in the city to eat, but at morning's first light, your options are pretty slim.. In Short
After stepping through the turnstile at this South Philly dining outpost, you'll notice the overabundance of Formica and simulated wood-grain veneer. The menu offers everything you'd expect from a greasy spoon--rather bland and a little pricey--but it works. The coffee's hot and trong. Soft drinks are served in paper cups. Stick to the simpler dishes--you can't go wrong with the scrapple and home fries.
