In Short
One of the few South Street bars that deserves more than the occasional pub crawl pop-in, Tattooed Mom has been able to forge a sturdy identity of its own in an otherwise flavor-of-the-moment atmosphere. Attitude can be heavy when stools and tables are at a premium. Leather jackets, slicked-back hair, hot-rod rockers and, of course, tattoos are in abundance most of the time. A well-stocked jukebox (heavy on the rock 'n roll) keeps the place lively.

we like to get loud. fortunately we like to invite everyone around us to join in the mayhem. The bouncees usually shake their heads at us or share the laugh. Tmoms has even accomodated us via Twitter, buying us rounds and greeting us when we get there.

I love this bar... I'm not over in that neighborhood too often, but when I am, I always hit up Tattooed Mom. It's comfortable, unpretentious and a step away from the typical South Street crowd... there is a cozy corner in the back with couches for a bigger group and cheap pierogies on Wednesday nights... not to miss!

Apparently some of the people that wrote past reviews have never had T-Moms 1 dollar PBR pounder. Yes, ONE DOLLAR PBR pounders! The catch is that it's limited to before 11pm. But it only goes up to like 2 or 3 bucks after 11. T-Moms is a great place to pregame (taking advantage of the cheap pounders) before you go out somewhere else. It's a fun bar and near a lot of other bars to head out to after the beer goes up in price. A great night out is to bike to T-Moms, drink until 11 and then bike to the Barbary along Delaware (it has a nice bike lane) to finish up there.

Where to Sit:
Traffic from South Street usually keeps the downstairs bar crowded. Upstairs there's another, more private, bar, along with pool and a few barber's chairs that provide a kick for first-timers.
The Extras:
There are a few types of Yuengling on tap in addition to the standards, and a cider. Mom seems to be having a little battle with Copabanana for the finest Spanish fries on the street. Her choice of waffle-cut potatoes lets her eke out a victory.
