Editorial Review for Guacamole – by Lauren McCutcheon
In Short
Check your bags at the door and step into two rooms full of bright, flimsy and altogether flippant fashion. Indie rock pumps throughout, from the case of faux reading glasses to the sale racks near the tiki dressing room. Service manages to be simultaneously surly and smiling. In the front window, shelves display impossibly tall platforms, rainbow velcro sneakers, teensy stilettos and sandals that recall the days of Termites. But the bread and butter of Guacamole's shoe section are basic Steve Maddens, Rocket Dogs and Doc Marten look-alikes.

Insider Tips
The ExtrasDesigner knockoffs and wear-it-once styles make up the bulk of the garment section. You'll find plenty of falsely faded jeans and jean skirts, multicolor baby gym tees printed with cheekily trashy text, trailer chic tube tops, plus funky Levi's bags.
